They had been wandering for what seemed like hours, and they still managed to be lost. Only them, Ara had joked, but nobody found it funny since their lives were on the line. If only they wouldn't possibly be killed, then it might possibly be slightly humourous. But now? They were all shaking with fright.
"Oh come on," Ara yelled, throwing her hands up in the air, "if y'all could stop being such dingle dardles for one moment, we might actually be able to find our way back."
Eros sighed.
"Ara," he began, "I would ask what dingle dardles meant, but I'm kind of more worried about, you know, the whole 'We might die' thing."
Ara snorted and replied, "I don't think it'll come to it, you cry babies."
Kalypso clenched his fists together and groaned. "How are you so sure, Ara? You can't predict anything. You're just like us, stop pretending you're above us," Kalypso sighed loudly. "Look, we're all tired. We need to find this person, then we can all forget this ever happened."
Ara nodded. "Right. If we get back, and if we find the person." She kindly reminded them that they might never find the person. Kalypso, to this, just slumped his shoulders in defeat. "I'm sorry. I've just been feeling low, we all have. I just wanna get this over and done with."
"I'm - we're - here for you," Astrid reminded her with a smile, and Kalypso just grinned at them, leaving them be for a moment as he tried to make out where the fuck they were.
He couldn't even check his phone. He was getting stressed. If he had his phone, he'd be able to check instantly and get an easy route back. However, since there aren't any random plug sockets about, he's out of luck. He sighed dramatically.
"Kaly," Eros called quietly, his voice wavered. "I-I believe that if we split up, we can cover more ground."
Kalypso glared at him, his eyebrows furrowing in anger and fright. "What? No. I can't allow that, Eros. What if some of us die? The others can't be informed in any way, since we don't have our phones. It's too much of a risk. I love y'all, I do, but I don't trust you, I'm afraid. If something happens, I'll blame myself. I...I have to. I'm in charge around here. Anything happens? It's on me. So, please, for the love of God, stay safe." He pleaded, Eros just nodded.
"Well, no promises." Ara sent a smile his way before grabbing Astrid's arm and leaving the site.
"Whatever, gays." Kalypso frowned to himself. "So, action plan, kids!" He said to the rest of them that hadn't abandoned his ass just yet, thank the lord. As soon as he opened his mouth to spill whatever he had on his mind, the rest were looking at something else. "Guys? What are you looking at?" Going to answer his own question, he looked over at their eye-line. His eyes widened and his mouth dropped.
"K-Kalypso, we should g-go..." Eros's small voice cracked with fright as he couldn't pull his eyes away from the hideosity that was the creature before their very eyes.
