Lexi’s POV

It’s been only six weeks of the pregnancy and I could already feel the baby kicking, is that even normal at six weeks? I sat on the bed and rang mum. She picked up and bombarded me with questions. “Mum it’s fine I just wanted to ask about the baby.” “Is everything okay?” “Well, I’m not sure I mean is it normal for the baby to be kicking at six weeks.” “Stay where you are Lexi I’m coming over.” She said in a rush and hung up leaving me confused. “Felix can you get me some strawberries?” He didn’t reply and I lied on my bed and mumbled. “Be like that then.” My bed weighed down and I felt a hand on my forehead. I turned around to see mum with a pale face and scared expression on her face. “Sit up Lexi.” I did as asked and I scratched my head. “Mum what’s happening?” “Honey you said you were six weeks pregnant…right?” I nodded. “Yeah why?” She walked to the door, “I’ll be right back, stay where you are.” I nodded once again still confused with everything.

Ten minutes later I see six female figures towering over me. It was the other Original Witches, mum, Annie, Karen, Avery, Marion and Alice was there? “Aunt Ali?” She smiled. “Shh honey, you need to relax yourself.” I nodded and lied down. “You need to sit up and spread your legs. Lexi no-one told you? You’re going to have to give birth otherwise you’ll lose the child.” I panicked and tears rolled down my face. “I’m not ready for this.” They all smiled. “Love you’re a daughter of an Original Witch, you’ll be fine, we’ll guide you and help you through this.” I nodded and did as I was told and mum said to Annie. “She’s already at 10 centimetres she’s going to have to start pushing.” “Alright Lexi push darling.” I pushed as hard as I could and I screamed. “I need Felix.” They nodded and let him in and he sat by my side. I gripped his hand hard and he winced. “3, 2, 1. Push Lexi.” I pushed harder than last time and sweat was beading on my forehead and Felix was making positive remarks and helped me all the way through. After several times of screaming, crushing Felix’s hand, sweat and pushing I finally heard a cry. I looked up and me and Felix smiled at each other. “I knew you could do it baby.” He kissed my forehead and rubbed his hand. “Sorry Felix I didn’t think I was squeezing that hard.” I smiled and he laughed. “I think you nearly broke it.” I sighed exhaustedly and lied down. Mum came in with my baby and she smiled. “It’s a boy.” I held him and he wrapped his tiny hand around my finger and I smiled down at him. Mum walked out leaving me and Felix alone with our baby boy. “He’s beautiful, just like his mummy.” I smiled and Felix kissed his head. “What are we going to name him?” Felix smiled, “Joshua Cameron May.” I looked down at Josh. “It’s perfect.” Josh’s eyes opened and I saw his giant green eyes staring at me and he smiled. “I think he’s going to grow quicker than the average child.” I smiled. “Maybe it’s a good thing?” Felix chuckled. “Until he’s our age.” I nodded in agreement. “I need a shower Felix do you think you could look after Josh?” He smiled. “Of course.”

I came out of the shower to see Felix on the freshly made bed asleep with Josh. He already looked four months old he was huge. I smiled to myself and shook Felix gently. “Babe wake up.” He fluttered his eyes open and picked Josh up and he gasps. “He’s huge, how the hell did he grow so quickly?” I shrugged and picked Josh up. “Maybe mum knows something about it?” We walk into the living room and all eyes are on us. I sit down next to mum. “Do you guys know why Josh is growing so quickly?” Avery nodded and all eyes were on her, I guess she was the only one that knew. “You and Felix both being Witches, Josh is full Witch. He grows up to four times faster than the average kid.” “So is it a good thing, are there any side effects?” I wondered. “Well if he grows any quicker there can be side effects, but the chances are rare, so there’s no need to worry.” She smiled and I nodded. “Thank you all for coming and helping me today, it’s greatly appreciated.” They all said you’re welcome and mum took Josh. “He has a crib out the back darling I’ll put him to sleep.” I nodded and walked back to mine and Felix’s bed. I nearly fell asleep when I heard Felix confessing his feelings. “I really am so proud of you Lex, after all you’ve been through, I love you so much and I promise one day we’ll have a house, a life, a bigger family, and I promise I’ll put a ring on your finger.” He kissed my head and I fell asleep smiling to myself.
