Who I really Am

Kendalls pov.

I started having dreams, and in each and every dream I saw a beautiful amulet being taken away from my hands, and what followed was absolute destruction. Somehow I knew that amulet, was important.

I wasn't going to tell my Shu what had happened. I honestly think he was just relieved I remebered him. The only one I felt safe to talk to was Bella. I made her promise to not tell anybody.

"Bella the dreams-" I said.

"It's Ok. I think you need to contact your mother. She might know what's going on with you."

I glared at her. "Are you crazy?"

"No," Bella said. "Look, I know she shielded you alot, but I think you need to renew your connections with her. I'm coming with you."

"To where?" I asked suspiciously.

"Don't be mad, but I decided that you should just go  back home for  a while. So I texted your mom."

"WHAT!!"

"You're going."

Present time

I sighed. My bags were packed, Bella was coming too, so I guess things wouldn't be so bad. I stared at Shu. I smiled. And walked over.  "Hey." I said.

He turned around an smiled. "You up for it?"

"Yeah." No. I thought.

"I'll see you in a week then." He placed a kiss on my lips, I blushed, that kind of stuff.

Bella grabbed my hand, and we left.

At my Mom's house

"You've finally made it." My mother said staring at me. "I thought you would be earlier. After all, you're 5 min. late. "

I cringed."Yeah, I didn't want to come anyways."

Mom turned to Bella, "You're room is upstairs." 

"Thanks." Bella said.

"Come here Kendall." I shakily went over. Mom touched my face. "I love you, ok? But the time has come."

Bella came down the stairs.

"Girls," Mom led us through a stairway I had never seen before. I looked at Bella, who shrugged. I followed mom. As I went down I gasped. I saw the amulet. "But that's a dream, right?"

"No darling, the dreams mean danger is coming." Mom answered gravelly.

"Now, Bella, Kendall. I am going to tell you something, that will blow your minds."

Mom stared at me. "I am the last guardian of this amulet. Was anyway. I shielded you from the world because, it took your father. He died protecting you. The guardians duty is to protect the amulet at all times. I wasn't strong enough and-" Her voice broke. "Your father perished."

"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, you said dad was a jerk who left us. I always hated dad because of you."

"I had to  make you think something. Anyways, I pleaded with the council to make sure you weren't going to take over my destiny, but it wasn't so. If this amulet get's into the wrong hands the danger-"

"So  you  expect me to-"

"No. If you are not going to do it for me , at least do it for your father. I am to train you."

I stared at mom, my father died because of me, so that had to  mean something. I stared at her. "I'll do it."

My mom handed me a book and an amulet. "I name you Kendall Chanel,Guardian of the Last Amulet."

I stared as a white hot fire surrounded me and Bella. "Your friend here, is going to  help you succeed. Training starts tommorow." As she  was turning to leave, she stared at me. "You have a boyfriend?"

"Yes." I answered

"You gotta break up with him. Good night!!
