???'s POV

Staying away from many people was difficult. Always hiding in the shadows to keep my self hidden. I always loved watching people go by, holding hands, talking, and even laughing. Though, my life wasn't always bad. My childhood was great, family, and friends were always around. I enjoyed having all that, until everybody thought that I as a monster.

My best friend, she always saw the best in me. Even in my worst. Staying by my side, until I was taken far away from her. When I was taken away, nobody tried to stop them. I noticed that I didn't betray anybody, everybody betrayed me.

That's what destroyed me, not TV, not alcohol, not anything. The betrayal of my family is what broke me. I was under their spell for love, and warmth of what other children got without speaking a word. I was controlled by strings, played, and left to do things I never wanted to. That's who I got this cursed name. I'm the Marionette.

You may think that this was something that could easily be handled, treated right? Well, if you thought that, you were definitely wrong. Nobody could fix something that has already been broken. It's like trying to patch up clothing, that didn't even have a scratch on it. Trying to heal a wound that has already been sealed. Either way, I wanted what I never got, the freedom and family. Cliché right? That's what she thought.

I guess that's not the only thing wrong with me. I'm also called a monster because of my special abilities. But, let's not dive into that just yet.

The Sun started to set, and the Moon had just started to rise. I put my cold hands into my pockets, and walked upon the sidewalk. Other than the streetlights, cars flashed their headlights when swerving around the corner.  The bright lights hurt my eyes, ignoring the slight adjustable pain in my head, I tried to listen to the music that played in back. It was hard to listen to the only thing that would calm me down. People talked too loud, and the streets were always too crowded. To be honest, it was going to drive me into a mess of blood.

Walking with my back arched, I could hear the people walking behind me clearer. "Haha, Did you hear about the case? Apparently a man called the Marionette did it with both hands tied behind his back" A girl laughed along with a few other teenagers. "Where did you happen to hear such a crazy thing like that?" Somebody with a male voice talked, he seemed like he didn't belong in the group, but that was beyond me.

"He's probably just a cover up so that somebody won't get arrested and committed for their crimes." The same person spoke, what he said was actually starting to make me laugh. He wasn't wrong, but he was far  off. "What's so funny old man?" The girl from earlier, the one that spoke earlier. "Oh nothing, but you should really check your surroundings, and who's next to you before opening your mouth" I laughed, and covered her mouth, not letting her speak nor mumble. You shouldn't worry, I didn't do anything to hurt her, just making sure she couldn't call for help.

Her friends started freaking out. "Hey! Lay off!" Many of her friends surrounded us like paparazzi. As they surrounded me, I felt the need to start a rampage.  As I held one hand over the woman's mouth, I held my other and emit flames from my fingernails. "Leave" I demanded, they ran, except one. One stayed, because I made them. With one small hit to the head, he fell. The woman started to fall asleep too.

I lifted the boy over my shoulder while carrying the woman, walking away. The man was bit heavy, but exceeded a normal weight. Either way, I quickly and quietly left. Nobody saw me, nor what happened. Gladly, that's how it's always been. Family never watched, and friends never know what happens. Once you've been through it, you'll never go back. No matter how hard you wish, no matter how hard you try.

After a relentless night, the Sun shined through the dusty windows of my "vintage" house. I rose from my bed, and pushed my legs off of the side. I could feel my head pound, and my body felt heavy. Knowing from what happened last night, I knew my shoulder would start to hurt any time now. I stepped foot outside my bedroom door, and started walking towards a certain room. After thinking of current events, I noticed how calm the boy seemed to act. In a moment of silence, a mysterious man came from the shadows and took you away? Interesting.
