A/N: I just wanted to say if the title is a but misleading. Nothing really happens in this chapter, well maybe nothing you guys might be interested in... -_-
???'s POV
All I noticed was the masked man wondering off to space. He still held me into the corner. He smiled once, and then frowned. Not in a sad way, more of a serious look. "What's got you down chum?" I watched him look at me, noticing for just a moment he didn't look like a murderous killer. He just look like a simple man who wore a mask. I could see a spark flash in his cerulean blue eye. It was a cool flame, I could see the past and future. Amazing.
"I'm just simply thinking." He let me go completely. He looked quite, uninvolved. It actually made me a bit bad, only if I knew what he was thinking about. "Hey. Are you okay? did I do anything wrong?" I slightly touched his shoulder, he lid away. Uncomfortable, right? "No, nothing's wrong. Here, let's go and get something to eat." He held out his hand, eyebrow raised. I snickered, and took his hand. "Thanks." I could feel my smile grew, I guess this the only thing that I've done interactively for awhile. No wonder I felt happy, I could act whatever way I wanted to freely. Especially now that I don't have any friends to keep me from what I wanted to feel. Nothing's stopping me now, especially the man leading me into town. Heh, I've lost touch with my ego.
???' s POV *Switched POVs*
I kind of find it surprising that he's going to actually follow me into a public place, considering that I'm who people are always raging about. While walking outside the door, you could smell the petrichor. The dew on the grass, it sparkled in the corner of my eye. Other than holding another man's hands, I felt truly happy. Something I never really felt for my whole 25 years. Maybe this kid was the key, something eager and stopping the parasite feeding off of my inner-well being. He shouldn't be thanking me, or anything of the sort, I should be thanking him. I feel like I can be free now.
I looked at him, now noticing that I kept holding his hand. "Do you mind if I let go?" I waved my arm, swinging it. I watched shake his head, yes. "Really? I would've thought that somebody like you would've smacked my hand a second after" I laughed, lightly, trying not to offend him of course. "Well, after all the time in school, my friends always had control over what I should say, feel, and even think. I never got the chance to be myself." He looked he could just fall down and start crying. "I'm sure they weren't real friends." I smiled.
???'s POV *Switched POVs, again :p*
His smile, could brighten up anybody's day. "Thank you. For everything you've done lately" I admitted it, I definitely felt better along next to his side. Finally away from those so called "friends " "Yeah, like I've done so much for you. I scared you friend to death, and kidnapped you. Who knows, you have a family looking for me, and somebody waiting to chop of my head" He sarcastically laughed, I could tell it in his tone of laughter. "Listen! I don't have a family, and I don't have friends! I never want any of them" I felt water fill up in the corner of my eyes. "N-no don't start crying" He looked like he wasn't in a place to comfort people, considering his place, I'm correct.
I nodded my head in disbelief, and ignored what happened. My hand swung low, and connected back to his like a magnet. "I hope you, don't mind" I averted my eyes, but I could his smile radiating. "No, no it's no worry. We're almost here anyway" I let go, not wanting to be any attention to ourselves. The inside looked quite relaxing, the walls were a beige color. Paintings were hanging all over the wall. Many were "extroverted" like paintings, mostly just colors thrown on a canvas, and TA DA! Most of the people sitting at the tables were on their phones or computers. I guess people only get out of town to snag onto free Wi-Fi.
After a few moments of "taking in the scenery", he started walking up to the counter. The woman behind the counter looked quite happy to meet him. How interesting. "Hello, Mari" She smiled very brightly. "What can I get for you, and your boyfriend?" She giggled. Boyfriend?! "Hehe, I'm just kidding. But if it were to be true?! Hehehe!" I couldn't believe her laugh, I wanted to punch her so badly. Before I could say anything, I saw him grab her by the collar of her uniform, and whisper something to her. "Hey, Alex?! Can you take over here for a moment?" She nearly yelled across the whole room. As she walked back through, the girl who's supposedly was Alex walked up to the counter.
"Hey, sorry about that. I can take your order now." She smiled really sweetly. Anyone's better than the scream your ears off, fangirl. "What do you want?" He turned around, as I picked a simple tea choice off of the boards above Alex's head. He finished the order with his choosing, and gave Alex the amount he owed, and decided to leave the café. To be honest, even the little time spent in there was quite "tiring". He didn't look very amused by it either. I noticed he got a drink, and had no choice to take his mask down to drink it. He must've noticed that I was looking at him, because he looked back at me a little confused. "Yes?"
"Sorry, but I still don't know your name." He didn't seem bothered, but I felt differently. "It's Kaede. What about yours?"
"Please, just...call me me whatever you want"
Well, hello fellow readers! I just wanted to say (hopefully) by the next chapter, I'm thinking of putting facts about the story!
