"Min Yoongi?!"
The pair froze as someone called Yoongi's name, or a dead boy's name. Nari eyed Yoongi quickly, a silent conversation enveloping them like the paper and words inside that of which they'd just pushed through the small slot of the box in front of them.
What do we say?!
"Uh, you talking to us, man?" Yoongi turned around confidently and pointed towards the two off them, sliding his fingers between Nari's slightly trembling ones. Though it was a facade of his, his hands shaking even more than hers. Nerves tingled through the bones of each of his pale fingers and he tried his best to keep cool, especially as he saw who it was talking to them. He cant possibly recognise me, can he?
"Well, uh, sorry. You looked like someone I know. Sorry to bother you." The tall, brown haired boy looked the pair up and down quickly before rubbing the back of his neck, slight embarrassment flowing over him, and turned away to leave.
"I'm sorry, but what's your name?" The seemingly younger boy couldn't help it, and he turned around briefly to ask Yoongi his eager question.
"Lee Minseok." Yoongi stated, his eyes turning to slits ever slightly.
"Ah, well, nice to meet you. Sorry again." He nodded to the pair before sauntering off in half embarrassment and calm.
"Wait!" Nari looked up at Yoongi confused and he smiled.
"You said Min Yoongi, right?" The boy nodded as his eyes shifted from place to place, obviously uncomfortable with talking to strangers.
"Ah," Yoongi let out a sad laugh, he acted well as Nari looked up at him, still confused but not wanting to interrupt.
"He was my cousin." The black haired boy had thought up a small fib to tell the kid, for what reason, only he knew. He never thought about it in the past, nor did he think of it at all while growing up, but he did miss the younger boy, even if in the slightest.
"Oh..." The boy rubbed the back of his neck again and gave Yoongi a sad smile. "I'm sorry for your-"
"It's fine, really. Wasn't too close to him anyways. What was your name?" Yoongi brushed off the boys apologies and the air cleared a bit, a comfortable atmosphere surfacing.
"Oh, Jeon Jungkook. I used to be Min Yoongi's neighbour when we were kids." Yoongi smiled, perfectly aware already, and nodded.
"Well, I'm happy to meet you, Jeon Jungkook."

Yoongi had ended up inviting Jungkook to lunch with Nari and him, of course the agreeable and excited Nari eager to have him join. She couldn't show, but was overjoyed to meet someone who knew Yoongi. Jungkook expressed how surprised he was to see Yoongi, or Minseok, as they looked so similar.
"Ahh," Yoongi laughed nervously. "We used to get that so much as kids. Everyone thought we might as well be twins." Jungkook nodded and smiled.
"Definitely..." Jungkook smiled, yet it held a lingering sadness. Yoongi and Nari both noticed but understood. When one loses a friend to the inevitable black abyss we're all destined to, of course it hurts if they plunge too early.
"So, do you live around here?" Nari asked, taking a sip of her coffee. The younger boy nodded whilst swallowing the bite of bagel he'd bit before, answering her shortly after.
"I moved here with a few of my friends a couple months ago. Such a random place to move but my hyung's uni-tech is here so we all decided to come because why not." Jungkook smiled thinking of his hyungs and wondered what it would've been like if Yoongi hyung had still been there with them. He wasn't the absolute closest to him, but wanted to be more than anything. He idolised the older kid as children and looked up to him immensely, making Yoongis passing even more of a hit to home.
"Oh thats so cool! You all must be really close." It was very true that they were close, like brothers. Even more so, the oldest of them, Kim Namjoon, was actually a lot closer to Yoongi than any of the boys. His mom and Yoongi's were very close, 11 year old Namjoon and 17 year old Yoongi an odd pair. Yoongi taught Namjoon a lot about music and spent hours teaching him about the new music producing softwares he'd downloaded. Sometimes the younger kids came along, giving Jungkook more than one reason to see and hang out with the older and admirable boy. Yoongi felt his heart beat quicken as Jungkook spoke of his friends and had a feeling that Namjoon was one of them, his heart hurting at the thought. He'd forgotten about the neighbourhood kids he'd cared for like little brothers while in purgatory, the memory of them gradually reaching his brain as he lived again each day. He remembered all 4 of them.
"So, Lee Minseok-"
"Just call me Minseok." Jungkook nodded.
"Minseok, what are you doing at the moment? I'm guessing you guys..." He motioned his finger towards the pair sitting across from him and Yoongi smiled, taking Nari's hand in his. The small act made Nari blush, distracting herself with yet another sip of coffee.
"We are. And I'm not up to much. I moved here recently too, to live with Nari, and haven't figured out what I want to do here yet."
"Ah, thats good. If I were you I'd follow Nari anywhere." The cheeky kid laughed, winking at Nari. Her eyes widened in surprise at the bold boy and the act didn't sit well with Yoongi, who was shooting daggers at Jungkook with his eyes.
"I'm kidding, hyung." Jungkook was comfortable with the two of them, an overwhelmingly calm and homely aura surrounding the three of them, as if they'd been together like this before. In Yoongi and Jungkook's case, they had been, though over 10 years past. Jungkook was 9 when Yoongi had passed away, at 18, but their big age difference had no meaning now, Jungkook had caught up to Yoongi and was even just a few months younger so to say.
"You better be," Yoongi muttered. Nari simply squeezed his hand a little and laughed, turning to Jungkook.
" Well, it was really nice meeting you, Jeon Jungkook. I have to get back to work in a half and hour so we better take off now." Nari downed the last swig of her coffee and Jungkook nodded, sipping the rest of his glass of orange juice. Still his favourite, huh? Yoongi thought. He remembered Jungkook always had orange juice pouches as a kid and smiled.
"Yeah, thats cool. Gotta go finish shopping for Seokjin hyung as well. He's gonna ask where I've been." He laughed. Yoongi's heart did the same little tighten it has earlier as Jungkook mentioned Kim Seokjin's name. He remembered him too.
They all left the small lunch cafe and stood outside. The sun was warm today, and Nari observed the now friend of hers, his pretty brown hair moving slightly due to the breeze as the suns rays hit his skin softly. Nari was so happy to have met someone who knows Yoongi, or at least his past self. Jungkook smiled at the both, bidding his goodbye with a nod.
"Catch you later, yeah?" Yoongi called out to Jungkook who was walking away. He made a thumbs up and waved a little. Him and Yoongi had exchanged numbers at the cafe and Yoongi told him he'd stay in touch and vice versa, of course as Lee Minseok.
"Of course! See ya Minseok, Nari!"
