Always Worth It

*Chapter 1*- The Roadtrip

I've been in the car for seven hours already. I have a feeling it might storm. Honestly, I hate traveling. Except this time we're not coming back. We left our house, in Salem, Oregon, at nine AM... at least I got to sleep in a little! We're moving from Oregon all the way to Kansas. I don't know why we just didn't fly. Doesn't this take more money? Gas, food, snacks,and hotel(s) are all things we have to worry about... Pretty much!

My name is Karlee, I play softball, hockey, soccer, and volleyball, we're moving to Kansas because, supposedly,it has better soccer then Oregon has. I don't even care, I'm probably going to quit soccer anyway! Softball is my favorite sport, which Oklahoma has the best softball, but my dad wants me to keep playing soccer but I don't want to. I'm also 12 years old. I really hope I get a scholarship to Oklahoma University someday. I also really want to meet Lauren Chamberlain someday! In 2013, she won one of her games by hitting a home run! She is one of the best college softball hitters.

"Are we there yet?" I groaned.

"Karlee!" my mom and dad said.

"We will eventually get there!" my dad said.

I was right, it did storm, but only a little bit! I'm so relieved!
