||Ro's Point Of View||

I woke up on the floor of my room with a pounding headache. Rin was nowhere to be seen. I stood up and flapped my wings, barely hovering above the ground.

"Ugh. Why was I on the floor? That's odd, maybe Rin was in a rush or something." I put my claws on my head as the headache intensified. "Arceus my head hurts. Maybe it was from sleeping on the floor."

I flew out into the hallway slowly. Cell doors were flung open, the Pokémon missing. Rin still wasn't there. A growl rose in my throat.

"I don't know what got into her." This voice was oddly familiar. I turned around to see Yen locked up in a cell, his dead eyes staring at the cell bars.

"Wha- Why are you locked up? How did you get locked up? Where are the keys?"

"I don't know, Rin shoved me in, also Rin took them." Yen answered my questions slowly, almost as if he was scared to answer.

"Rin did what? She put you in here!? Why would she ever do that!? She's been loyal to me for the past 10 years!" I looked around angrily, trying to see if Rin was still here.

She was nowhere in sight.

"Yes, she really did put me in here. I don't know why she did it, but all I know is that she was acting really odd and releasing Pokémon. When I asked her what she was doing, she simply said she was finding her mistakes." He answered quickly now, probably because he had been waiting to tell somebody about the incident all through the night.

I couldn't believe what he was saying. "Rin just. . . set the Pokémon free? She only set a few free, though?"

"Yep. She's gonna be back soon, I'm certain. I think the prisoners that escaped are still here, though."

"Good. Those ones are important."

"Well, actually, I think she took one of the Vulpix. If I remember correctly, I think it was the bigger one of the two."

I scowled. "I don't know which one is which. Do you know what its name was?"

"No. All I know is that it strayed far away from the escaped prisoner, the. . . Sneasel, right. It looked so helpless, so I decided to take it back and just try to kill it. Rin didn't like that at all."

"I don't know why Rin would ever leave us like that! The Vulpix she took is the one I don't care about. We still have the main three that we needed."

"That's good, Master Ro."

"Please just call me Ro, you're not one of my prisoners."

"Am I? It seems like I am when I'm behind these stupid metal bars."

"What's up with you? I never thought you were one to question your own state of being. You've always been so close to me, Yen."

"I have been? I thought there was a time you didn't like me. That just flashed in my mind."

"You don't have a mind of your own. Haven't you known that for a while now? I control what you do. You're a puppet, Yen. I told you that before-"

"Before what? What did you do to me that made me a puppet?" His voice suddenly had a tone, his eyes didn't look as dead as they usually did. Instead, his eyes seemed to be filled with emotion.

"Before I made you into one of the best hosts. You know that you're a host, right?"

". . . What's a host?"

"What do you mean 'what's a host'? I've told you so many times before you became- wait, no way."

"Have you realized something, Ro?"
