Third P.O.V

Somewhere inside Wall Maria, several hours earlier.

In the streets of the town laid the body of a titan and two Survey Corps soldiers. A girl with short caramel hair was kneeling down next to the male soldier who was bleeding out through his stomach. The girl kept trying to put more pressure against the wound, but nothing was working, she heard footsteps and gazed up to see a male with black hair.

"Captain...I can't stop the bleeding." Said the girl, her voice shaking and eyes filling up with tears.

"Captain..." the wounded soldier called out.

Upon hearing his voice, Levi kneeled down next to the man, "What is it?" he asked, giving the soldier all of his focus.

"Did...Did I help humankind? Am I going to die without being of any service?" the soldier lifted his bloody hand towards Levi. With no hesitation Levi took his hand on his own and spoke.

"You served well. And from now on... your commitment will give me strength. I promise you, I will destroy every last titan without fail!"

Blood trickled down Levi's hand, "Captain he's gone" the girl said, tears running down her face. The soldier's life bar disappeared along with his body, Levi turned to look at the caramel haired girl and asked "Do you think he heard me until the end?"

The girl nodded "Yes, I'm sure he did. He looked peaceful in death."

"That's good" Levi said standing up. The sound of horses and his name being called made Levi turn to look behind him, a man with blonde hair, known has Commander Erwin, spoke.

"We're pulling back!"

"What?" the girl asked while standing up.

"Pulling back? But we haven't advanced as far as we can go. You're going to let my men die in vain?" Levi glared at Erwin.

"The titans have begun heading north as a group, plus one of our soldiers noticed someone fire a flare from the same direction the titans are heading too." Erwin simply stated.

Upon hearing this Levi froze 'Flare? No it can't be' he thought. Erwin turned to look at the direction where the titans were going too. "It's a repeat of one year ago. Something's wrong. The wall may have been destroyed."

At this Levi clicked his tongue, he shot one of the anchors of he's maneuvering gear and flew past Erwin towards his horse. While maneuvering only one word ran through his head.

"Shit"

Meanwhile in Trost District

"What do we do now?"

Danielle, Mikasa, Armin and an unconscious Eren were being surrounded by Garrison soldiers.

Danielle standing next to Mikasa said "We could make a run for it." It took a while for Mikasa to answer, "Of all the dumb things you've said, this one is by far the dumbest." Mikasa sighed.

"I tried" Danielle gave a low chuckle, before turning her attention towards Eren and Armin. Eren was still unconscious while Armin was kneeling down next to him trying to wake him up. Danielle sheathes her blades and runs to Eren's side putting his arm over her shoulder, helping Armin with the weight.

Armin was going to keep trying to wake Eren up, but stopped when he heard a voice talking.

"I'll kill them all"
