Chapter 4

"What happened yesterday?" I internally questioned, "I don't know anyone handsome like him, but I have a feeling that I've definitely met him somewhere before."

The next day, while going about my job as usual, I couldn't stop thinking about what happened the day before. I thought that he might be in the show-business but I couldn't think of anyone like him. He had handsome features which could pass for an actor. This is going to keep bothering me. However, I didn't have time to escape reality thinking about that. I had to think about what to do to pay off the $500,000.

My thoughts were interrupted when my boss approached me.

"Anderson, do you have a moment?" He pulled my aside.

"Ah yes!" I faked a smile.

"It actually seems likes we will finally get a good response from a major company we've been perusing for a long time," he remarked, "but they insist having you there for a meeting."

I was so surprised. "Huh!? Me?"

"Yes...do you know this company?" My boss asked.

I saw Platinum Cooperation written on the document handed to me by the boss. As a secretary at the publicity agency, I had of course seen the name of the company before.

"This is quite a big company isn't it? I think it's an IT communication company. Don't they have other companies in their group?" I had acknowledged.

"You're right...we really want to seal the deal and get a contract with them. I don't know why they want you to come, but can I count on you?" The boss had a serious attitude.

This was a lot to absorb in such little time. "L-Let me think about it a little."

"You don't have time to think about it. You have to leave now." He declared.

"What?" That basically meant I wasn't allowed to say no, "I understand. I will go. Even if I go, I'm just a secretary and don't know what to do there."

"You can start by taking these. They are documents detailing the terms and conditions we offered and the actual contract itself." He remarked.

"The contract!? Such an important thing..." I trail off.

"Hey, you don't have much time to get to the appointment." He professes.

When I left my department, I felt as if everyone was rushing me out of there.

"If you get into any trouble, call me right away," he added before I left.
