The little girl sat on the beach, her favorite spot in Neverland, and looked out at the water. Her small fingers fiddled with the loose sand at her sides and her curly red hair flowed in the wind as her blue eyes scanned the ocean in front of her again. Something was missing, she knew it. "Daddy!" She yelled, looking around for her lost father. He was always flying around his domain embarking on some kind of adventure, most of them too dangerous for a toddler to experience. But of course at the sound of his beloved daughter's voice, he arrived as quickly as he could. "Yeah? What is it?" He said, a smile playing on his lips as he picked up the small child just like the girl's mother had taught him.
The little girl began to pout and pointed out at the NeverSea. "Daddy, where did all the pirates go?" She asked. Her father's happy mood immediately turned dark at the mention of his sworn enemies. He set the girl down back on the sand and sat by her with his legs crossed. "Why does it matter?" The boy retorted with a slight sneer. "We don't need those stinky pirates anyways!"
The red headed girl frowned and looked at her father, confusion in her eyes. "Momma said that we shouldn't call people names." The girl recited her mother's words just as she had heard them. "She said that we should be nice to everyone, even the ones that don't deserve it. Because kindness spreads, and you never know who needs some!" She looked so proud of herself and ended it with a smile.
Her father scowled and looked out at the water. "Those pirates don't deserve anything from me." He grumbled. When he continued to look out at the sea in contemplation, the girl tugged on her father's shirt again to get his attention. "Daddy, when will the pirates come back?" She asked in a small voice.
The little girl's father turned his gaze back to his daughter. He took off his signature green hat with a red feather and set it on the girl's head. She giggled and pulled on the hat to make it more smug on her head. "Never." He answered with a smile. "Mark my words, Petra. Those stinky pirates will never, ever, give you any trouble ever again."
