Chapter 2

When i woke up this morning i forgot about my fight with Jason. I walked over to my bathroom and looked in the mirror. My hair was standing everywhere, my makeup from yesterday was smudged and my eyes were bloodshot from crying. I removed my clothes and got into the showere.

I started to sing cause like who doesnt sing in the shower? After my shower i got dressed in dark blue jeans, an oversized black sweatshirt and my light brown Timberlands. I straightened my hair and but on an orange beanie.

I walked downstairs and saw my mom and dad in the kitchen. My mom was busy making herself some coffee and my dad was sitting at the island reading the newspaper while drinking some tea. I ran up to my dad and gave him a tight hug. "Hi daddy." I said when i let go of him. Yes i am a daddy's girl and no i do not care.

He chuckled and said "Morning princess. You went to bed pretty early. Any particular reason? Are you sick?" I shook my head and grabbed a piece of toast off the plate standing next to my dad. "No im not sick, I just got into a fight with Jason. And i was pretty mad but also really sad so i decided to just sleep early."

He nodded his head in understanding. "Well i hope you guys make up. I like Jason. He's a sweet kid." I scoffed and mumbled under my breath "sweet kid my ass"
"What was that?" My mom asked.
"Oh. Nothing" i gave her a smile and started to walk to the door. "Ill take you to school Kelsey. And ill pick you up afterwards. I want to talk to you about something." My dad said standing up putting on his blazer.

He walked over to my mom and kisses her goodbye. Honestly my parents are so in love. Sometimes they still act like teenagers. I giggle and open the door.

~Driving in the car~
"What happened with Kelson?" My dad asked. "With who?"i ask completely confused. "Y'know. Kelsey + Jason = Kelson. Your ship name." I laugh. "Oh my gosh no dad. We just got into a fight. He's really changed these past few years and not in a good way. He's a player and he hurts girls feelings. So i just... i dont really know. If he apologizes i will forgive him and we can be friends again but if he doesn't apologize i will still forgive him but we wont be friends. Yeah easy as that."

My dad just chuckles. "Okay Sweetie. Well were here so have a good day. I will come get you after school and we can go to that pizza place you like so much." I smiled. "Thanks dad. You too. Love you." I got out of the car and walked to my locker.

As soon as i opened it i saw a piece of paper fall. I rolled my eyes at how cliché it is. When i open it up it says:
'Meet me at our hangout from 9th grade xxx'

I close my locker and walk to my class. I take a seat and wait for lunch. The day drags on and at last it is lunch. At lunch i get my lunch at take it to the bleachers. I sit at the bottom and begin to eat my lunch.

When i look up at our football team i see my ex boyfriend Austin looking over at me and winking. I smile and wave to him. You guys might be wondering why. Well our break up was a mutual thing. Both of us didn't feel the sparks anymore so we decided on staying friends. I start to stand up and i throw my trash away. Just as im walking i hear my name being called. I turn a round and Austin is running towards me.

He casually puts his arm on my shoulder and i put mine on his waist. "Hey stranger." I smile and we continue to walk like this. When we get in front of the building my smile falters.
"Hey whats wrong? I didn't wanna seem like nosy or something earlier but you havent said a thing and now your frowning and looking all sad and stuff. But still cute."

He winks again. "Thanks Austin. Jason and i got into a fight so im distancing myself from the group." He looks me in my eye and says with all seriousness he can has "By becoming a loner?"
I laugh at that.
