Chapter 1
Our story didn't start in a classroom, or a house. It didn't start at a party or at the seventh isle at the supermarket, and it most definitely wasn't by accident. We met on the train.
My friends and I we're going home after a long day, and it being late at night I wasn't what you would call "stable", emotionally or hormonally. We had just finished watching a dance show and decided to go grab some food to eat. We settled for crepes after a much heated debate.
Turning on my phone to check the time, it read 11:30pm. Hm, the train should be here by now. As if on cue I see the train come to a stop in front of us.
"Everyone hop onto one cart, we don't want to lose anyone." I ordered.
We all boarded the same cart as quickly as possible. The corner right by the window was vacant so the 3 of us take over it. I eagerly sit in the seat facing the window.
"Hey you're in my seat." Neil whined.
"What a gentleman you are." I got off the seat and stood behind him holding onto the train rail.
"You guys, I'm going to stare at this guy until he figures out I'm staring at him." Neil positioned himself in front of the window and stares intently.
Looking up and out of the window, A young man who looked about 20 was silently reading a book. Sensing eyes on him he briefly looks up and catches my eye before going back to his book. His eyes were the most mesmerizing pair of eyes I've ever seen. They were a mixture of green and grey, they took my breath away. His jaw line's shaped the perfect way. The way it curved and effortlessly moved as he muttered words while he read.
His hair's not to long but not to short. It's the common brown with a slight curl, but somehow, someway he makes it seem like the colour was made for him and only him.
"Hello earth to Ella!" Letting my gaze linger on the man a little longer, I faced away and looked at my friends.
"We've been trying to contact you for the past 10 minutes." A bubbly red head exclaimed.
"Sorry, I was daydreaming about the crepe I just had." I winked at the both of them causing them to roll their eyes. I turned back to the window. Looking forward, the man was now asleep on his book softly lifting up the pages with every breath he would take.
"I dare you to wake him up." Airah nudged my shoulders making me lose my balance. I stare down at the 5'ft red head.
"Sure." I shrugged. Making my way to the window I started tapping to wake him up. After a couple of taps he jumped out of his seat knocking the book off the window ledge. He picks his book up and slowly turns to look at my direction.
Smiling slightly I waved my hand.
"Hi." I mouthed.
Slowly lifting up his hand, he waved back.
"Hi." He mouthed.
"Guys look! He's saying hi!" Turning around to face the group my smile grew larger than before.
"Don't leave him hanging Ella! Talk to him!" Neil yelled, "This is your chance to get a guy!"
Rolling my eyes I sat on his lap. "I'm 17 buddy, I don't need a guy. Let me finish high school first yeah?"
