People see what they want to see,
Hear what they want to hear,
Feel what they want to feel,
And believe in what they want to believe.
They want their voices to be heard,
But they don't listen to the voices of others,
They want themselves to be noticed,
But give little attention to others.
They want everyone to know what they feel,
But doesn't want to know the feeling of others,
They want their beliefs to be respected,
But doesn't respect the beliefs of many.
They only choose to see what they want to see,
Their minds are not open to every single detail,
'Cause how come you'll know what's happening?
When your mind is closed to the cruel world?
They only choose to hear what they want to hear,
When it comes to others opinions and stories,
They don't care,
'Cause they only care about their own opinions and stories.
They only choose to feel what they want to feel,
So even if they've hurt someone badly,
That wouldn't catch their attention,
'Cause after all they feel the pain when it's them suffering.
They only choose to believe in what they want to believe,
Their minds can become closed to the truth,
'Cause even if it's the truth,
They'll only believe if they want to.
What has happened in this century?
What happened to the world that was once full of love?
Why did greed, hate, selfishness have to devour people?
How did people become so close-minded?
