Arranged Marriage-Chapter 20

(Emily's P.O.V)

I can obviously tell Niall was hiding something from me, but I'll let it slide considering I'm not in the mood for anymore drama. I'm just irritated he's not that open with me anymore. He's usually excited to tell me things. Well I guess not anymore. I just hope that will change.

(Niall's P.O.V)

I went in the kitchen and made some tea. I feel so guilty for not telling Emily about it, but she does have the right to know. It'll only make her stress out even more. *ring* The house phone rang. As I was walking to answer it, Emily answered it. She put it on speaker "Hello?" she said "Emily? Is this Emily Winterfield?" The man on the phone asked. "Yes,this is she." "It's Hunter,remember? We dated in Grade 11" He said. Emily quickly hung up the phone. Hunter, Hunter. Where did I hear that name. HOLY COW, that's the guy who cheated on Emily. "HOW DID HE GET OUR NUMBER?!" Emily practically yelled,she was really annoyed. *ring* none of us answered the phone,Hunter decided to leave a voice mail/ voice message.

"Heyyy babe, remember me? Yeah you do, well why don't we meet up and you can leave that little boyband fiancé of yours for a real man like me" he said. That's when I got pissed off. Emily deleted his voice mail. "That little son of a --" I was interrupted by Emily "Calm down, Niall" She said while placing her hand on my shoulder. "I can't calm down, you know why?!" "why?" she asked

"Emily, I know that maybe deep down in your heart that you may still have feelings for him. If he gets into the picture I'm probably going to be kicked out of the picture. OUR kids might call HIM their dad.I love you Emily." I said practical yelling.

She smiled at my words and hugged me and placed her head on my shoulder. "Niall. I don't have feelings for him anymore.You're never gonna get out of the picture. Those are MINE and YOUR kids, I love you more. Always remember that" She tip-toed and kissed me cheek. I still didn't trust him. "Just to make sure we're safe, i'll call the police & I'll try to get a restraining order on him" I said very sternly.

*A few hours later*

I finally called the police and they said they'll get everything straightened out. Okay, i think I'm about ready to tell Emily about the rumors about her and I breaking up. "Princess!" I called "yeah?"She called back "okay. I'll tell you what Zayn told me. He said that there are rumors spreading about you and I breaking up" I said "oh, okay" she said quietly and smiled at me.

"why are you smiling?" I asked and picked up one eyebrow to show that I was very confused. "I'm just happy that you're telling me the truth and opening up to me."she said "but you open up for me" I said to her and winked (did you get it? ) she then playfully punches my arm.

*later that night*

(Emily POV)

Right now in taking a video call interview. I guess I skype companies and they interview me. "Hello Emily!" the American interviewer greeted me. "Ello" I replied after a fee questions she asked me "What are some things that your partner Niall has taught you?" I absolutely thought about it. "Niall has taught me so many things. He has taught me to love my imperfections,how to cook a monster meal.He taught me that love isn't just something to take advantage of,what love is and best of all he as taught me how to love" I said smiling "well,that concludes our interview,thankyou again for letting me interview you tonight" "you're welcome and thank you for interviewing me,good night to you too" "this shall be posted later on tonight,bye" "bye" I then ended the call. I heard a knock on the door "baby,are you done with your interview?" I hear Niall say "yes sir" I said.

Niall looked like he was holding something behind him. "Babe,what are you holding behind you?" I asked He brought his arms in front of him and in his hands was a plate of assorted cupcakes and each of them had the names of the places where we had nice memories. One of the cupcakes caught my eye "Cabin at the lake" and had a winky face on it after the word Lake. "oh Niall" I said and pointed at the cupcake. I put icing on the tip of his nose. "What'd you do that for?"he said and then laughed

Maybe this day wasn't that bad after all.
