As it happens, Ming made good of his promise and won the competition.

Although during the awards ceremony, he got none of the minor awards. But it wasn't much of a surprise. He didn't have the smoothest skin unlike Nong'Yo's nor was he the sweetest person like Nong'Yo who could be the kindest and friendliest. Ming was that kid in the block who loves playing pranks on people around him and was always playful. But in the end, he is still the perfect candidate for the Campus Moon.

But why am I blabbering all about that. When did I even care about him winning this competition. I don't give a damn what the judges thought in choosing him.

And there he was jumping on the stage like a football player, making a total fool of himself. But he still won, and I gotta stick to my words too and take him to dinner.

But it doesn't have to be tonight, right? He just got crowned and I bet loads of people are all over him. Hope I could persuade him to put it off another time.

I've no interest to be near the spotlight of another Campus Moon. I had my share of troubles last year with Ai'Pha's and boy had we found ourselves in a wild rollercoaster ride. Girls rained down on us everywhere just to take photos and the poor noodle shop almost got wrecked then. That was a real nightmare I wouldn't dare get involved again.

Sorry Ming, but not tonight.

So after we helped Ai'Pha put all the roses Wayo got from the Popularity vote into the trunk, I told Beam we have to go quickly so that I can get away from Ming. But I guess Beam didn't took my situation seriously and he decided that now's the best time for him to have a chat with some chicks backstage. Damnit, I shouldn't have trusted him and brought my car.

"Ai'Beam, if you really are my friend then let's get going." I pleaded.

In the end it took me more pleadings but he still wouldn't budge and just laughed off my urgency. I calculated that we spent too much time out here and any moment now Ming might come back from the stage. I'm just hoping that he wouldn't run out of fans trying to get his photo.

"Chill, man, it'll just be a moment. I'm gonna take their number and I'm done, happy?" he gave my shoulder a quick squeeze then turned back to the ladies.

"No you won't." I held him and turning back around.

"What are you rushing for, man? We're not going with Ai'Pha aren't we, the two of them have plans together."

"But aren't you hungry?"

"Yeah, I am but just a few sec more okay?"

Damnit!! Why can't you just understand my situation and listen to me.

"Dude, what the heck are you so uptight about? Are you trying to avoid someone?"

You see, the jerk knew all along and wouldn't help me out!

"Who's avoiding who, I'm just starving to death here, man." I lied.

"I know you, you want to hide from Ai'Ming, aren't you?"

"Damn you, and you call yourself my friend. Go on then, get back to flirting with the ladies don't mind me at all."

"What are you guys talking about." and he's here, fuck you Beam. I'll be cursing you till the next life. You should have listened to me and I wouldn't be faced with this situation.

The new Campus Moon has finally arrived and he's standing right beside me in all his glory and handsome face. He seem not to keep himself from beaming at me whenever I look up at him, I could see his smile stretching wide to his ears.
