Chapter 6 - a hot cold (Arthit)

*cough cough cough*

"Seriously! How can you be sick on the first week of university?" Ai'Bright mockingly said

"I'm sorry" I said in my rasping sore throat voice

"Don't be, it's not your fault. Stop messing with him" Ai'knott said to me with a gentle smile and showed a fist at Ai'Bright who seemed amused by the scene.

"Take care na" Ai'Toota said in his sad voice

"Thank you guys" giving them a smile

"Seriously, how did you get sick?" Ai'Prem asked a bit concerned

I blushed. How can I tell them that the so called head hazer kissed me under a tree and because we stayed in our soaked clothes for more than 30 minutes, I caught that cold? Just thinking about it made my face beam red.

"I went to cut my hair yesterday and there was a huge downpour. I was drenched.......and..." I started.

They all looked at me with confused expression, as to why I stopped and what would be the next thing I would say.

"I stayed in my clothes for too long. I caught a cold." I coughed

This flu is horrible, I feel my head spinning, my nose is running, my face is hot, and I feel drowsy.

"Is there anything you want? I will bring it for you" my good friend Knott said with a worried face

"I want pink milk" I said with a grin

Knott laugh and shook my hair.

"You are too cute" he said with a smile

The others laugh. They knew how much I love that pink milk and even sick I was still craving for it. Something sweet....sweet.....his lips were cold but sweet... Ah! I shouldn't remember what happened. I really wonder if I was to kiss another person, would it taste as sweet.... I wonder.

When we broke free, my lips were numb and my mind was in a chaos. I didn't know what to do and ran away as I pushed P'Kongpob aside. Worst thing about the kiss was that I kissed him back. I didn't know it would feel that good. And I didn't know I could kiss someone back.

"Does. . . kissing has a sweet taste to it?" I asked with a wondering face. It just came out.

Before I realised that I asked that out loud, silence felt in the room. Ai'Knott and Ai'Toota looked at me with round eyes, Ai'Prem who was just behind smirked but still looked cool leaning against the wall, and the last one – the teaser Ai' Bright – had a huge grin on his face and he finally cackled like a madman.

"Ai' Tit, did you finally become an adult?" Bright asked while he wiped his tears off

"No!!!" I shouted, making my friends dumbfounded

"I mean. No I was just curious" I said while looking down

"To be honest when kissing you don't really get a sweet taste...right?" Toota said while crossing his arm and was then got lost in his thought

"Depend what food that person ate just before, right?" Ai'Prem added while winking at me which made me blush.

I could still hear Ai'Bright's laugh in the background.

"Nah!" Ai'Knott said with a serious face

"I really think that if that person is the right one, the kiss would be different" giving me a warm smile

"You don't have to worry; you will get to know it when you kiss someone you like. It always taste different" my bestie continued

Ai'Knott is someone very caring and he is so wise. I really feel blessed to have friends like them.
