*Pre-Chapter 2*
Mark stood, reaching for his laptop and passing Jack and Eliza some news papers.
"Ok, guys we ready to do a shit ton of research?"
Groans and sighs of agreement came from the duo, and the trio started into the piles and piles of research.
*five hours later*
*Post-Chapter 2*
"Guys! I found a bar that James Drake, the father of the brothers, owns. It's called the Holy Demons and it's a few of blocks from here. It's a solid lead."
Mark grinned, standing up and looking at Jack and Eliza, grabbing his black leather jacket that his ebony wings could stick out of, "You two comin?"
Jack and Eliza nodded hurriedly, following Mark out of his office and out of the building. The trio quickly running down the street to the bar, to which they saw, written in blood,
'ALL WHO DARE ATTACK THE HELPLESS, KNOW THAT THERE IS NO PLACE THAT YOU ARE SAFE'
A shocked look over took Mark's face as he cautiously touched the words, and they were slightly wet. Mark drew his pistol, and using part of his powers, loaded the gun and cocked it, unsure of what he would find in the bar.
Mark made the motion for Jack and Eliza to stay back as he crept into the silent bar.
What he saw astonished him completely. All but two people in the room were killed by asphyxiation while the two's heads were cut cleanly off. All the bodies were male, no females dead.
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!? WE DID ALL THAT FUCKING RESEARCH!" Jack yelled, surveying the corpses and not seeing Sera's.
Eliza rested a delicate yet strong hand on Jack's shoulder comfortingly, "We'll find her. We will find Sera, Jack. How bout we head to your house and regroup?"
Jack nods, tears welling up in his crystal blue eyes that were flecked with gold, "A-alright. Let's go."
As the dejected, or in Mark's case pissed and worried, trio walked to Jack's house, and Jack started to unlock the door, footsteps were heard.
"Hey big brother. Hey Eliza. Random PI who is close to my brother. No welcome home banner?"
