This is a really lengthy chapter!
I combined almost three full chapters, but when I was doing the revising, I saw that I wasn't being detail enough for my liking and I also didn't want to break one scene into multiple chapters.
Anyway, enjoy!

Waking up in an empty bed, Toni laid there thinking back on everything that transpired the night before which lasted well into the early morning. It felt so amazing to be back in the company of the man she loves and to make love to him for hours. However, her conscious didn't allow her to dwell in the afterglow for too long. The guilt quickly began to eat at her and she realized how careless she and Kenny had been to do something so daring in the home she shares with her husband. Keri could've came home at any time and caught them in the act.

Being reckless was a thrill, sure, but can you imagine what would've happened if Keri did come home?

Toni decided then that what happened last night could not happen again. Yes, she loves Kenny, but she's a married woman and made vows to be faithful to her husband. Last night was for closure. She hoped Kenny would accept that.

Her thoughts consumed her until the sound of her ringing phone brought her out of her daze. She groaned as she grabbed her cell. It was her youngest sister calling.

"Hello?" She croaked, rubbing her tired eyes.

"Hey Toni, it's Tay! You missed my call last night, girl. I'm calling to check on you?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, Tay! I was out late and when I got home I was extremely tired so I went straight to bed."

Toni knew she was wrong for lying, but she could not tell Tamar the truth. She would never hear the end of it!

She continued to lay in bed rubbing her thighs. They were sore as shit and she knew she needed to get up and stretch them out. Maybe an hour or two of Pilates would help.

"Did you and Keri have a long night? Mr. Lewis took you to poundtown?" Tamar laughed. Toni forced herself to laugh along with her. More like Kenny did, she thought to herself, smirking.

Speaking of Keri, where was he? Toni wondered.

"Well, no. You little nasty," Toni finally said. "Last night I performed at the gala. I'm still pretty worn out from that whole thing."

"Toni, it is two o'clock in the afternoon, honey. How late were you out? And I'm so sorry I couldn't make it, sis. I really wanted to be there for you, but I've been hearing that you were ah-mazing! It's all everyone's been talking about on social media!"

Toni hadn't even realized just how late in the afternoon it was. She didn't plan to sleep in so late but every time she willed herself to get out of bed, she'd lie back down and fall back asleep instead.

She blamed Kenny! That man had truly wore her out.

"It's fine, Tay. I had a really good time though! I got to see so many people that I hadn't seen in a while and it was good vibes all night. It felt sooo good being back on stage and getting to do what I love."

"Aww! I'm glad to hear that, Tone! It really does sound like you had a good time, are you a little hoarse?"

"What?" Toni choked on the water she was sipping. "Mm yea, just a little," she answered, shaking her head. Her being hoarse had nothing to do with her singing, but all to do with Kenny!

"Tay, can- can we talk later? I have to go get the boys from Face's house. Love you! Bye," she said, quickly ending the call.

She didn't want Tamar asking her any questions regarding Kenny. But that surely didn't stop her little sister from sending multiple texts.
