Waking up wrapped in Kenny's strong arms was one of the best feelings. Toni had slept like a baby with him holding her securely; it made her feel so safe and so valued, she couldn't fight back the blushing smile on her face even if she tried. As she laid in bed thinking back on the night before, she knew she had made the right decision with being truthful to herself and to Kenny; everything had turned out so romantic and so beautiful. Better than she had honestly expected. The love she felt for him was infinite and divine.

Kenny had been the perfect gentleman the night before. He didn't try to push up on her, pressure her into having sex or anything of that sort. All he had wanted was to talk, listen and hold her closely, and eventually they fell asleep with a few plans of their future mapped out. It felt great to finally be with someone who was on the same wavelength as her.

After a moment of just lying in bed and allowing her mind to wander on the positives, Toni slowly pulled herself out of Kenny's embrace and made her way to the bathroom so that she could do as much as she could with her hygiene; although hardly any of her products were there with her at Kenny's, but she knew eventually all of that would change. After she finished up in the bathroom, she went downstairs to prepare breakfast served with some OJ for her man who was still sleeping peacefully.

While standing at the oven and scrambling the eggs and humming a random tune, Toni suddenly heard the doorknob on the front door begin to rattle with aggression. Her heart pounded in her chest and she grabbed the biggest knife she saw as a weapon of defense and moved towards the stairwell so she could get to Kenny without alerting the intruder. Before she could even get up the steps, the door swung open and the person quickly came into view, scaring the hell out of Toni.

"Kenny!" Toni shouted out of fear while holding up the knife. If push came to shove, she knew she was going to have to use it.

"What little floozy- wait Toni? Toni is that you?"

Toni's eyes widened and the feeling of relief washed over her as laughter ensued. She suddenly felt foolish, holding up a knife at Kenny's elderly mama.

"Mama Edmonds?!" She exclaimed excitedly. "Oh my god, you scared the hell out of me! I thought somebody was breaking in!"

"Oh, I am so sorry, honey! This damn key of mine is always giving me trouble and I have to wrestle with the lock every time!" Barbara chuckled. "Now get yourself over here and give me a hug! I haven't seen your behind in years! I thought Ken had some random hoochie mama in here," she said laughing and waving Toni towards her.

Toni placed the knife down and rushed over to Miss Barbara. They hugged tightly and swayed from side to side as they laughed together. After releasing each other, Barbara looked Toni up and down with a smirk, giving her a knowing look.

"It's not what it looks like, mama!" Toni quickly said, after catching the older woman's drift. "Kenny gave me his shirt last night to sleep in, but nothing- you know- nothing happened."

Barbara's smirk never falter as she said, "Oh I know, because that hair is still in place. Where's Kenny-pooh anyway?"

Toni giggled. They both knew how much he resented the nickname his mother gave him when he was a young boy. "He's still upstairs sleeping. I decided to come down and make breakfast before he woke up. Have you ate, mama? I can make you a plate too."

Barbara smiled appreciatively while patting Toni's arm. "I don't see why that boy hasn't married you yet? You're such a good woman for him and to him. Excuse me while I go get his behind up, you keep doing what you're doing, and I'll take some of whatever you're making, baby."
