Meeting the Team

The next day after school I went to the ship and started training in the pit. Zordon then called me and he asked me why I though they wouldn't morph.
"Its quite simple really they don't know each other well enough and some think of it as a joke." I spoke through my armour while glaring at Zack. Jason then asked me to put my armour away and show myself. I felt the armour retreating into my skin and laughed at the looks on their faces. "Why so surprised?" I asked "Hi Trini and Billy." I said
Billy did his happy clap and asked if I could morph for him.
"Sure, it's no problem. It took me a bit before I could do it and I'm not part of the team."
I then looked down and concentrated on being protective over the five and I felt the armour crawling along my body until it fully covered me. I then let it recede away.
"What do you think of when you do it?" Zordon asked.
"I think of protecting my team and making sure that everyone stays safe. It might not work for them because the Purple Ranger is supposed to be the protector of the team." I said.
"Take them down to the pit." Zordon said referring to the five. I followed along just to watch or if necessary protect someone.
Zordon then explain how the putties were Rita's army and that we had to get through them to get to her. Every single day after school we came to train. They got their asses kicked at first but then they built up enough strength and Alpha taught them how to slip, grab, and lift. Eventually Alpha decided to show them their zords. We climbed back down when Alpha asked, "Wait, where's Zack?" He then came through a wall of the pit and almost ran us over with his Mastodon Zord. Jason was pissed at Zack. He punched him in the face and Zack reciprocated. Me and Trini tried to break them apart and Billy and I morphed.
"Okay, now that's cool!" Billy said with excitement. Zordon then told us to get out when Billy couldn't morph again. He told us we weren't rangers and that we should go home.
"Alright guys I'm gonna stay up here, make a fire. I got some food if you guys wanna stay." Zack said.
"I'm down." Trini said.

Third Person P.O.V
Back at the ship Zordon wanted to know how he could get out of the wall and morph.
"Yes, but the irony is that you need these rangers to morph. If they morph you could harness that energy to regenerate your body and come back through." Alpha answered
"There's got to be another way I can't..." Zordon said.
"What, Zordon. You can't what? Wait for us dumb kids to morph so that you can come back to life. That's what all this has been about right. You coming back." Jason interrupted."
"This has only ever been about protecting the crystal. Rita could be building Goldar as we speak." Zordon said.
"Don't under estimate me or my team." Jason said.
"You can't stop her. She will dig up the crstal and life in earth will die." Zordon said.
"And we need you because you were so successful at stopping her last time." Jason said.
"I died burying those coins in hopes that they would find the next real rangers. Those who are worthy." Zordon said.
"Well sorry to disappoint you. I don't need to stand here and have you tell me what I did wrong. I can go home and get that." He said
"Jason, you need me out of this wall. To help lead this team." Zordon said.
"Your teams dead and your just as scared as we are." Jason said and walked away.
"What happened back there?" Zack asked Jason when he arrived at the bonfire. Jason sat down next to me and grabbed my hand.
"Nothing. Billy how'd you do it? How'd you morph. Jason asked.
"I don't know." He replied.
He turned to me but I just repeated how I think of protecting them.
"What are you guys thinking about when we're trying to morph."
"You must shed your masks to where this armour." Kim said in a Zordon impression.
"Think only of each other and the morphing grid will open to you." Zack said.
"Yeah that better." Kim said.
"Well maybe it's cause we don't know each other. Maybe that's why we can't morph. No I'm serious. Let's do this for real. I'm Zack and I am a power Ranger." Zack said in a funny voice. We all laughed at that. " "Hi, Zack." We replied
"Truth: I love in the Melody Mobile Home Park. It's just me and my mum. And my mum, my mom is the best! And my mom, she's sick. I do what I can but, but I get scared. Sometimes I get too scared to stay there at night because I'm afraid she can't make it. And if she goes.. when she goes I got novody else. Look, I think being with you guys is good for me." He continued.
"Let's do that. Let's tell our secrets. It'll help us. Okay I got a secret. I like country music. No matter of fact I love country music. And I don't...I don't miss my dad as much. I mean coming to the mine with him was all I had but coming to the mine with you guys is just as good. Yeah." Billy said.
"Bigger secret is why were you in detention?" Jason asked.
"I blew up my lunchbox. But it was an accident. My lunchbox was I'm my locker boom goes the lunchbox and detention goes Billy. Let's not forget that Kimberly Hart was also in detention too." Billy replied
"Not tonight. Skip me." Kim said.
"What about you dude. Why don't you tell us who you really are?" Zack asked Jason.
"Because everyone knows exactly who I am." Jason replied.
"What about you crazy girl?" Zack asked Trini.
"I could tell you anything and you would have to believe me. Okay. I'm I'm the new girl..always. Three schools in three years. Whats crazy is i like it that way. Nobody ever has to get to know me and my parents dont have to worry about my relationships." She said.
"Boyfriend troubles?" Zack asked.
"Yeah boyfriend troubles." She said
"Girlfriend troubles." Zack asked.
"My family is so normal. Too normal! They believe in labels. They'd like for me to dress differently, talk more, have the kind of friends they want me to have. I don't know how to tell them what's really going on with me. And I've never said any of this out loud." Trini said
"Well that's cool you're with us now." Billy said.
"Am I. What does that mean when this is all over. Are we power rangers or are we friends?"
Ally P.O.V
"We're both." I said. Jason then drove us all home but I stayed at Trini's house to watch out for Rita. Soon Rita woke Trini up and I fought Rita. She threw me into wall and furniture while I protected Trini. "Call the others. Get out of here! Go! I'll be fine." She finally left out her window and I fought Rita for a bit until she disappeared. I heard her talking about where the dead ships live so I decided to swim in mermaid form.
