»Ayla«
"Yeah? What is it?" I asked Draven, he was awfully nervous, and that was never a good sign. He's just not the kind of person who becomes nervous much. This had to be big.
"I'm not exactly sure what to write about you," he mumbled, looking down at his shoes as if they were the most interesting thing around him. I struggled to contain my laughter, and gave up.
"That's it?"
He nodded.
"Dray! You had me terrified! But something so small is what you were nervous about?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow questioningly.
"Well, yeah. I don't know why you're not mad though, I thought you were going to yell at me because I don't know what I like about you."
Wait. Just wait. Let me process this.
"You don't know what you like about me?" I asked him, and gasped, feigning hurt. Leaning against the wall, I slid down it, with a look of shock.
Draven began to laugh. "You're so dramatic, Ayla." I snorted at that. Me? Dramatic? No way.
He offered me a hand, and I grabbed it. I was familiar with the feeling, calloused, but gentle. He gave me a sweet smile, and I returned it, expecting him to pull me up.
I was nearly on my feet, when he let go, and I fell.
Draven clutched his chest while laughing, clearly enjoying himself. He held himself up against the wall, seeming unstable enough to stand straight.
Rolling my eyes, I muttered, "Not funny."
I sat there. Now he has to pull me up for that. Draven offered me his hand for the second time, and I reluctantly accepted it, he pulled me up, and pulled me in for a hug.
I hugged him back, Draven gave the best hugs, and that's a fact. Yet I'm not sure why he suddenly gave me one.
His head rested on top of mine, due to his great height, and my face in his chest, it was oddly comforting.
"Why the sudden hug?" I asked, I felt his chest rumble when he laughed.
"You looked so frustrated, and I know you enjoy my hugs." I could picture the smug smirk on his face right now, even though I couldn't see it I knew it was there.
"Stop smirking."
"How'd you know I was..?"
I shrugged, then he kissed my head. Smiling, I murmured, "We should get going.."
Draven pulled away and nodded, he wrapped an arm around my shoulders in a friendly way, and we walked back inside the classroom.
I could feel Calvin glaring. I glanced at him for a split second, and he looked annoyed. Screw you Calvin, even though I somewhat like you.
Why do I like him, but dislike him at the same time?
You like him because of the bond you two have, and you dislike him because of what he's done.
Okay, whatever. I'll work with that.
We sat down again, and Draven leaned over and whispered in my ear, "I only didn't know what to write about you, because there's so many things I can write."
Draven focused on his work, and i noticed he was writing rough notes, but not his actual list. I flipped to a clean page in my notebook, and titled one "Calvin" and the other one "Draven".
Calvin was writing, and he paused, thinking about something. He began tapping his pen against his chin, and ran a hand through his hair.
The one thing that caught my eye was his lips, he was biting his bottom lip while thinking. Damn, why does he have such full lips?
