Chapter 3.) The truth.
After like 15 minutes of just talking and hanging out Lloyd spoke "Guys we gotta go set up." "Oh shit, yeah we do! Joel, take the girls to where they'll be watching from." Dan said while getting up from his chair. Andy spoke all of a sudden "Wait Jazmin and Caitlin, what is your favorite song of ours?" "Mine is Sweet Blasphemy!" I said hoping they would play it. "Definitely Rebel Love Song!" Caitlin said smiling.
"Ok! Caitlin and Jazmin, I shall take you to where you'll be watching, Follow me!" Joel said while getting up and stretching his hand out to me. I hesitated for a second but then put my hand in his and got up and smiled at him. Caitlin looked at our linked hands, and looked at me and raised her eyebrows. She whispered in my ear "We will talk about this later." I just chuckled. As Joel, Caitlin and I walked down the hallway I started to get excited all over again for the concert. I was really hoping that they would play Moving. That song helps me get through some really rough times. I get depressed a lot and yes I self harm. Caitlin did but she told me she stopped.
When we got to the back stage Joel led us to where we would be watching from. It was already getting loud as people started to file in. "Ok well I have to go get ready. And what is you guys favorite song by Get Scared?" Joel asked. "Mess! I love that song." Caitlin said. "Um definitely Moving!" I said smiling because I knew he was gonna play it now. "Ok well after the show do you guys wanna hang out?" Joel said I think there was a hint of hope in his voice. "Yeah!" I said excited to get to hang out with Joel again. "Alright sweet well I hope you guys enjoy the show!" he said smiling. "We will and Good luck!" I said waving. "Good luck!" Caitlin said.
As soon as Joel walked away Caitlin attacked me with questions " So are you guys dating? Does he like you?" "No were not dating. And I don't know." I said sighing. "Well he would be an idiot if he didn't like you." Caitlin said trying to cheer me up. "well I'm not gonna bring you down were at our favorite bands concert!" I said faking a smile. "True! Ok so what do you wanna talk about?" Caitlin asked. "Um how 'bout you and Andy?" I asked winking. She slapped my arm playfully and said "Well he was definitely flirting AND he asked for my number!" i thought to myself I am sooo gonna win this bet!
After Caitlin and I talked about random stuff for a little while, the lights went out and i heard the crowd chanting "Black Veil Brides! Black veil brides! Black veil brides!" "Caitlin started chanting with them. And then I saw the five guys run out onto the stage. And I heard Andy's deep voice yell into the mic "Are all you motherfuckers ready to rock with us tonight?!?" everybody including Caitlin and I yelled back "FUCK YEAH!" "Alright well before we start let me say that this tour has been amazing! The crowds have been kickass, and we have met some people that we are sure to be friends with forever!" everybody cheered. "Now let's put on a kickass show for all you!" after he said that the intro to Knives and Pens started. Most people were singing along so was I but Caitlin was singing her heart out and dancing around. I was really happy when Andy would look over and flash her his breathtaking smile that drove all the girls crazy. They continued their set with Saviour, Perfect Weapon, The Legacy, Smoke and Mirrors, STWOF, sweet Blasphemy( I was really happy when they played that!) and then Andy said something that caught me off guard.
"We're gonna play one more song for you guys and we would like to call one of our good friends out here to help us with that!" as soon as he said it Caitlin and I looked at each other. Before we could say anything Andy spoke again. "Caitlin can you come out from backstage!?" Caitlin just sat there with her jaw hanging. "Go Caitlin!" I said as I pushed her out onto the stage. She'll thank me later I thought to myself.
Caitlin walked up slowly stumbling a few times. Typical Caitlin! Andy threw his arm around her shoulder and spoke in the mic again "This is my good friend Caitlin! And she is gonna help me sing Rebel Love Song!" Caitlin's mouth dropped again and Ashley walked over to her and closed her mouth and patted her cheek and said "Keep your mouth closed you'll catch flies." I laughed really hard and received strange looks from CC so I just smiled and waved at him. Which made him laugh too. When I heard the band start the intro to Rebel Love Song I payed attention again. I knew Caitlin would do great!
After they finished Caitlin looked like she was on cloud nine. And she did amazing. And there was a lot of cheering. And once it died down I decided to embarrass Caitlin by yelling "YEAH CAITLIN!!!" and that got her to flip me off and a bunch of people started laughing. "Alright well thanks guys for a kickass show to end this kickass tour! Sorry we gotta go to let our boys from GET SCARED do there thing. We'll be doing a signing in like an hour. And thanks for supporting and everything you do. We love you!" Andy said while all the guys bowed and threw stuff out like drumsticks, guitar picks, and shirts.
When Caitlin got backstage I ran and greeted her with a hug and said "You did AMAZING! I'm so proud of you!" "Thanks this has been the best night of my life!" she said smiling and practically hyperventilating. I knew Joel and the guys were gonna go on in like 15 minutes so I sat with Caitlin and we talked about the black veil brides set. After like ten minutes we went back to where we had been sitting. It was really loud from all the fans. But what do you expect at a concert? Then Once again the lights started to fade out. I felt my heart beat quicken. I was soo excited.
They all came out onto the stage and cheering was heard all around. "What's up Florida. I hope your as fucking stoked as I am to be here with you all! This tour has been amazing and the support is mind blowing! the guys from Black veil brides are some of my bestfriends now and it's been a privilege touring with them! Now enough of that lets give you guys what you came for!" as soon as he finished saying that they started playing Sarcasm. Caitlin and I were singing along with everyone else in the crowd. I couldn't help but get lost in Joel's voice. The concert was going by quick.... sadly. After sarcasm they played Whore, Voodoo, Cynical Skin, Hurt, Deepest Cut, Drown, Fail. And then Joel made an announcement.
"I want to dedicate the next song to one of my very good friends." oh great I thought he has a girlfriend. "I wanna call her out here so I can sing it to her." oh so she's here so now I can see what she looks like. "Jazmin can you come out here please." Now I know what Caitlin felt like. I just stood there. "Go Jazmin!" Caitlin said pushing me onto the stage. Exactly like I did before.
I felt my cheeks turn red as I walked towards him. He put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. "This song is called moving!" he said smiling at me. Oh shit. I thought I cry whenever Iisten to this song. "As soon as he started singing I felt myself smiling but I knew I was gonna cry. "Dear mother dear father I'm leaving now after all you said to me I'm not the man I used to be." he sang and I felt years start running down my cheeks. I had to run off the stage before he finished the song because I didnt want to embarrass myself anymore.
I looked back to see a very confused Joel. But he finished the song. And after he made a speech at the end like Andy did he ran off the stage calling my name "Jazmin. Jazmin! What's wrong?!" he said wiping away tears that were still falling from my eyes. "N-nothing its just you have no idea how many times that song has helped me!" I said trying to sound normal. "What do you mean?" he asked with concern in his voice. "i mean I self harm!" I said immediately regretting what I had just said.
