Chapter 4.) You kissed me. do you like me?
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you." Joel said quietly.
"It's not your fault I said trying to stop my tears from falling.
After a somewhat long awkward silence Joel spoke up. "Why?" he asked concerned. "Why what?" I asked dumbly.
"Why do you do that to yourself? You know how I feel about that!" he said with disappointment filled in his voice. I didn't know what to say, I knew why but I didn't want to have to like tell him my life story.
"I don't want to just lay everything on you, and I'm sure it doenst matter to you anyway." I whispered the last part quietly
"Doesn't matter? It doesn't matter to me?! Jazmin, you know that it does matter to me. I may have just met you but that doesn't mean that I don't care!" I could tell he was upset with what I had said. I felt bad for what I said.
"I'm sorry Joel. I know that you care, I don't know why i said that." I said feeling ashamed.
"Its okay jazmin. Just remember I care." he said with a sad smile. I smiled back
"Okay so you wanna know why i do it?" he nodded.
"Okay we'll I grew up getting bullied and I couldn't take it anymore. I used to cry myself to sleep every night. And it got to that point where I did it. And the habit just stuck." I said. He sat there it looked like he was thinking we sat there until he spoke up.
"Can I see your wrists?" usually I would be taken back by this but it was Joel. I took off my bracelets and showed them to him. I braced myself for him to make a long speech but he didn't. he took my hands in his and looked at the several cuts and he finally spoke.
"Jazmin you know you have to stop doing this to yourself. One day your going to make a mistake and the results will be permanent." he said.
" I know." I said ashamed of myself. The next thing he did surprised me, he took my wrists and kissed each one of my cuts.
"Promise me Jazmin, right now that you won't self harm again. If you hurt yourself, your hurting me. remember that." He said.
"I promise Joel." I said about to start crying because that was the sweetest the thing that anyone had ever said/done to/for me. I think he was taken back as to why I was tearing up again.
"Why are you about to cry again?" he asked seriously.
I chuckled. "It's not sad tears their happy tears. Joel, you're the sweetest guy I have ever met." I said smiling. He smiled back at me. And we sat there just staring into eachothers eyes when he started to lean in I leaned in to. Our lips, met it was the best feeling in the world. Our lips moved in sync and I knew I wasn't going to pull away first. And than who would turn up than no other The Purdy Perv. He whistled and yelled "GET SOME JOEL" we both pulled away and I felt my face turn red but it was kinda dark so hopefully he wouldn't notice. Joel looked at Ashley and spoke very calmly.
"You better run Purdy." Ashley wasted no time he hauled ass. Joel said "Excuse me while I go kick his ass." I laughed as Joel ran after Ashley I assumed they went back to the dressing room so I walked back down there and knocked on the door I assumed it was the right one since I heard Ashley yell "Im sorry Joel!" when Andy opened the door I saw Everyone laughing as Ashley lay on the ground with Joel standing on top of him. I started busting out laughing.
Ashley spoke up. "Okay if I say sorry can you get the hell off of me?"
"hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I guess so Joel said.
"Okay fine, I'm sorry Jazmin and Joel." he said as Joel stepped off of him.
"It's all good" Joel and I both said.
"Well we're all going to my place for a kind of end of your party. You two wanna come?" he said smiling.
I looked at Caitlin we both nodded. "Yeah we'll go." I said happily.
"Alright great let's go Jazmin you and Caitlin can just follow the bus. Is that cool?" Dan asked.
"Yeahp." I said as we walked outside. While we drove to Joel's I couldn't help but think about Joel. This party should be interesting especially with the black veil brides guys. And maybe Joel will find out if Andy likes Caitlin. And our date, maybe he would ask me to be his girlfriend! All these thoughts swarmed my head. I just had to wait and see what happens.(:
