Maelee

Maelee part 1

Maelee had an average life, for as long as she could remember her routine had never changed. She woke up, went to school, came home, and did her homework. When she was 10 she convinced her parents to let her try an art class, she loved it and now added art to her schedule. For 7 years that was the only sense of excitement and unpredictability she had until one faithful day. 

She woke up on an average Monday morning and got ready for school, her long dirty blonde hair was pulled into a messy bun, she had on a S.T.A.R Labs hoodie and leggings. She pulled on her shoes and went downstairs grabbing an apple and starting her walk to school. She took a bite of the fruit in her hand and plugged in her earbuds, listening to one republic as she walked to school. She went to her locker and grabbed her things and quickly went to her first period class, art. She took a seat and pulled out her sketchbook tapping her pencil against the paper as she thought of what to sketch.

"Hello." A male voice said causing her to turn her attention to a smiling boy, she waved slightly "my name is Kim Taehyung, I just moved here from Daegu." He said chewing on his bottom lip softly

"I am sorry if my English isn't too good." He said softly

"um I was wondering if you would want to be friends?" He looked at her his confidence wavering slightly as he anxiously popped his knuckles.

"Um sure I guess, my names Maelee Choi." She said as a slight smile found its way onto her lips. They had spent most of the class talking about random things and getting to know each other. They soon found out that they had almost every class together.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned to months and Maelee and Tae were inseparable. They had both met each other's parents and Tae was very happy when he discovered her parents spoke Korean and had made Korean dishes for dinner when he came over. Everything was going perfectly fine until Jung Hoseok came along.

Hoseok had gone to school with Maelee ever since 8th grade year, all she had ever known about him was that he had moved here from Gwangju and that he had made friends with some other kids who had Korean roots too. Hoseok had never shown interest in anyone other than his friends but it seems that Maelee and Tae had caught his attention.

"Hey!" Hoseok shouted from the other side of the hall "you female!" Maelee turned around and looked at Hoseok.

"Im Jung Hoseok but you can call me j-hope" he said slowly making his way towards Maelee and Taehyung, Tae glared lightly at the new male making his way towards the two friends.

"Why J-hope." Tae asked very suspicious of the new man's intentions.

"simple because I'm about to become her hope..." Hoseok felt a smirk tug on his lips

"and her angel. Scoot over pretty boy." Hoseok shoved Taehyung away and made his way in front of Maelee grabbing her hand and pressing his lips to her knuckles. She blushed an amused smirk plastered on her lips,

"quite the flirt are we." She said pulling her hand away "sorry kid but me and my friend are busy." She said quickly grabbing Tae and dragging him out of school. They grabbed some pizza and went home to fangirl over Got 7.

Taehyung had gone home shortly after finishing like 15 Got 7 interviews, he didn't understand why he felt more anxious than usual. He was scared of being replaced by a guy who he felt was more attractive and more outgoing. Taehyung had secrets that he hadn't told Maelee yet and he was hoping she'd never have to know what they were, but it was getting harder every day to continuously hide his depression. Recently he had started feeling fearful that she would leave and this caused him to feel hopeless. It had been getting worse and it was starting to affect his mood and appearance, but with Hoseok now posing himself as a wedge to get in between them he had been filled with worry.

The next day had been basically the same as any other, except any class Hoseok had with them was spent with Tae trying to keep him away while he flirted with Maelee. This happened day after day until finally he had invited maelee and Taehyung to sit with him and his friends at lunch. For some reason they accepted his invite and during lunch hour the next day they had sat with Hoseok and his attractive friends. Maelee had gotten along with all of them learning their names.

Yoongi and Jimin had girlfriends which immediately started a conversation with Maelee after she got to know the boys, and although Tae had felt awkward and left out he stayed put and made conversation. After about 2 weeks of the continuous hang outs during school they had all grown to be close friends. Taehyung was aware of his feelings for Maelee. He discovered that he was developing a crush on his best friend one day after school. They were at Maelee's house eating some pizza and watching Got 7 funny moments. He had never noticed before, how her eyes crinkled when she laughed, and how her smile was so contagious. Ever since then he had made a plan to confess to his best friend after school.

But...had he waited too long?
