Part 3
Last night was great. Me, Ben, Megan and Barney sat around the fire and talked, joked and laughed. All we had to eat was a packet of Mentos that we found in someones luggage, and we found as many leaves as we could.
But now it is morning, and my stomach is growling at me.
I sit up and look around for the others. Megan is awake, sitting up against a palm tree, reading the same book as she was yesterday.
Barney was a few metres away, sorting out some clothes and other luggage into five piles.
Ben was fast asleep, snoring lightly.
I jump up, suddenly wide awake, and go and stand behind Megan without her noticing.
"BOO!" I yell in her ear, and she screams and turns around.
"What the hell, Wilson!" she groans, throwing a handful of sand at me.
I giggle childishly, then notice that Ben was stirring in his sleep. A thought suddenly occurs to me.
"Hey, Megan! I have an idea!" I tell her excitedly, and I whack her arm out of enthusiam.
"What now?" she asks me with a raised eyebrow.
"Follow me." I laugh and I pull her arm. "This way."
We keep walking, me much more awake than her, into the woods. I recognised the path that I had followed yesterday when I found Ben. I'm sure there was a pond around here somewhere...
"Here! Here it is!" I shout out.
"Um, it's a pond." Megan points out the obvious.
"Yeah, I know that." I roll my eyes. "Run back to camp and find the plastic box." I instruct.
"What box?"
I sigh in annoyance. "The box that Barney found last night. Y'know the one with the sandwiches in?"
"Ohhh yeah. I wonder why we didn't eat those sandwiches..." ponders Megan.
"Coz we're saving them for tonight. Now go!"
"You still haven't told me wh-"
"GO!"
"I'm going, I'm going." Megan laughs and runs away back to where we came from.

Five minutes later, Megan came running back to me with the plastic box.
"Thanks Megs." I cheer gratefully. "You're a star."
'Megs' blushes and hands me the box. I take it from her and remove the lid.
"What are you doing?" she asks me as I bend down to the pond and fill the tub full of water.
"We're gonna throw this onto Ben. It'll wake him up." I grin mischieviously.
"Nice!" agrees Megan, who's nodding madly. "That'll wake him up. Lazy sod."
We both laugh and follow our tracks back Ben and Barney.
When we get back, Ben is still fast asleep. Megan was right. He really is a lazy sod.
"Three...two..." I beging to count down when Barney runs up to us and stops us.
"Don't. That's cruel." he warns us.
"I know right." I smirk and tip the tub of freezing water onto Ben's face.
