The sun peeking through the blinds flashed her eyes, waking her up. She cracked open an eye to see it was 9:00 am. "Fuck, I was supposed to leave at six!" Lylah yelled getting up.
She rushed into the bathroom and washed up. Putting her hair in a ponytail, and wore a white tank top, pale light blue jeans, and her leather jacket. She put her duffle bag around her shoulder.
Shr headed towards the kitchen to steal some food. After that, she made her way towards the foster mom's room. Carefully, Lylah took off the painting showing the safe hidden in the wall. As a child she had seen her store money in here before. Using her werewolf hearing she opened the safe. She took the bundles of money and quickly left.
"I need a ride." She thought.
She walked to Mr.Jones house, remembering he has a beauty sitting in his garage. She picked the lock to his house, knowing he's not here right now due to pack duties.
She ended up breaking the pick, "Danmit!" She cursed hitting the door.
Quickly she moved to a window, and broke in. When she was in, she made her way to the garage. On the wall was some keys. She took it and tried putting it in the motorcycle. "It fit! Oh thank the moon goddess!" She cheered in her head.
Lylah had somewhat known about her due to lack of knowledge. But she had read about her and how she made mates.
"Pfft, yeah right! That's a load of bullshit!" She thought.
Lylah doesn't believe that someone would love her, so why have a mate.
Hopping onto the motorcycle, after putting her bag in the compartment, she opened the garage and drove the fuck out of there!
...
Lylah took a deep breath of air, after leaving the pack. She could finally feel relaxed. She loved it.
She saw a city up ahead turning onto the exit. She was about 69 miles away from her old pack. The old withered sign, that was covered in moss read: Welcome to Everwood!
She started driving down the trail. The more deeper she got the more foresty it looked. Then all of a sudden there was a dead end.
Lylah got off her motorcycle and touched the sign that was on the gate that said: Dead End.
She heard a twig snap, and her hands found their way to her daggers.
Next thing she knows she is tackled. When her body hit the ground a waft of the most amazing smell ever hit her nose.
"Mhmmm... You smell like maple syrup and a campfire." Lylah had heard a chuckle then she was out.
...
Lylah had awoke in a bed covered in the maple syrup and campfire smell.
'Wake up, dumbass!' Indigo, her wolf yelled. Her wolf was the color of a dark blue/midnight color. Indigo had electric blue eyes, and the softest fur. She was also a very deadly wolf.
One eye croaked open and I scanned the room for any threats. I was obviously somewhere new. All I remember was that I got tackled and blacked out.
The door handle moved and I closed both eyes.
'Mate.' Indigo growled out. My heart beat raced at the thought of my mate in the same room as me.
"Is he going to reject me?" Lylah thought.
"I know you're awake..." A deep voice said in her ear. She refused to look even though her wolf wanted her too.
A sigh escaped her mates mouth and she heard footsteps retreating. She opened one eye, to see a very good looking man looking down at her. Lylah quickly shut her eyes and a chuckled rumbled from the Greek god. "It's too late now, love."
His hair was a light brown almost gold color. He had hazel eyes and a strong jawline. Wide broad shoulders, a feature Lylah found herself liking the most.
She opened her eyes again and waited for the rejection she was sure to come.
"No one would want a cursed mate." Was all that was running through her head.
She was then enveloped in two big arms. Shocks tickling her skin where he touched. Lylah stood stiff as she was in his arms.
Her wolf purring just a little bit, at their mate holding them. Even though Indigo didn't want the rejection to hurt more, if she got attached, but she just couldn't help it.
She felt relaxed and calm. Out of instinct she wrapped her arms around him, too. He seemed shocked for a moment.
"I have waited for you." He murmed in her ear.
Lylah shook her head. "That can't be."
He frowned, "Why is that?"
"Because I'm cursed." She said barely above a whisper, her head faced down.
"What?" His face gave Lylah a look of confusion.
"I have blue hair." She said it in a tone like it was obvious.
He grabbed her face and looked her in the eye. "I love your hair." He stared deep into her eyes.
"You don't understand!" Lylah was going to cry, so she tilted her head up and made the water go away.
'Be strong.' Indigo reminded.
"Hey. What's going on?" His voice was so deep and soothing. She could fall asleep to the sound of it.
"My blue hair is a curse. This is my natural hair color." She shook her head, "I AM A FREAK."
"Hey! You are not a freak!" He stopped her head. "Your hair is beautiful. And so are you." Her mate looked into her eyes, "You are not cursed."
She bit her lip, and shook her head. "But its true-"
"No, its not." He said and for some reason she agreed.
"His voice had somewhat changed... Into a-" Lylah was cut off mid thought.
'Alpha voice.' Lylah could tell that Indigo was smirking. 'Our mate is an Alpha. Hmm.'
