                      CARRIE

I wake up in a strange place, shared with a stranger. I had gone to a "summer camp" for extra credit on my Spanish class. I knew nothing and wasn't aloud to have my precious phone...ever. Oh god I could only wait for my YouTube account  to kill me. Nope not my email or text messages....I have no friends.

I sit up and rub my face, today was the day I would go on the plane flight back home. I was flying solo back home to Texas, and to my apartment. I couldn't wait to see my precious corgi May.

I pull the black hair tie off my wrist and attempt to tie my short hair into a pony tail. I sigh as half of my hair falls out instantly. "Well guess I'm rocking a half pony today." I say as I head over to my luggage. I open a suitcase and rip out a random shirt and some jeans.

I change quickly and slip on my aqua blue converse. I sigh and grab my morning necessities which lie on the desk next to my bed. I walk out of the room and head over to the restroom. Careful not to slam my door I stick my foot in front of it at the last minute. Ha I whisper. I deserve a gold medal for that one. Plus I didn't wake the evil roommate! Ha take that Satan!

I tiptoe for what feels like miles across the long hallway. I open the bathroom and sigh at the emptiness of the whole place. Why do I feel sad leaving when nobody was nice to me?

I shrug and turn on the faucet to splash my face with water. I look up dramatically into the mirror and act like I'm going to be starring in the next blockbuster film. I hear the door creak open and I fumble for my toothbrush, hoping they will think I was doing this the whole time.

They enter and relief floods in my as they pass me and head over to the empty stalls. I start brushing my teeth as I look at my poop brown eyes. Why can't we choose what we look like or what we want to be named. It would save us the trouble of having to deal with bad dad naming skills for sure.

I laugh to myself and stop brushing my teeth. I rinse out my mouth and head over to the only stall left. I go and wash my hands, really excited to head back home. We are given designated times to call home but it was really only once a week. That's not enough time at all if I'm to be honest with you.

I check my watch and see it's only 5:36 AM. We aren't aloud to leave into 7:30 AM. Don't ask me why I always have to get up so early all the time. It's weird I know. I head back to my room as quiet as possible so I won't wake any of the other forks on my floor. I make it back and gain another success at closing my heavy door without any noise.

I sigh and lie back onto my bed when a girl creeps into my room. I sit up quickly and try to pull off my best white belt moves. It fails miserably as she pokes me right on my forehead. I make a high pitched noise and she jumps back.

"Sorry I thought you were dead." She says and sits next to me and then I see it was only Shia. I gasp and place my hand on my chest. "So if i was dead you wouldn't call for help or god forbid...help me?!" I ask in shock.

She looks at me straight in the eyes for a few seconds and simply shrugs. "Eh." She says lying back on my bed, her head hanging off the end. She closes her eyes and sighs. "Why the helł did we get up so early? I need my coffee right now." She hits her head and groans.

Then we hear it....the roommate. She shifts around in her bed until she is sitting up. Her sleeping mask (or whatever you call it) is still on her face. It has the words #BeautySleep written across the front, and it's a soft baby blue color. I groan and roll my eyes, ready for another round of complaints.

She snapped her head quickly in our direction, again still having the mask on. She keeps her head in our direction and shifts her whole body towards us. She opens her moth slowly and whisper shrieks the words "Shut up." At us. Shia looks at me, her eyes wide but I just shrug and lie back down.

"Whatever." I whisper under my breath. Lucky she didn't hear me I start to practice my magical time skip magic. "Abracadabra!" I yell and hold my arms out. The time suddenly changes and the author is very happy she didn't have to write a boring story! Yay!

I sit at the bus stop with Shia, waiting for the bus to get here. I pull my luggage closer to me, when people start to crowd around me. I look at Shia happily typing away on her phone. I look at mine, dead. I sigh and lean my head back against the wall. I check my watch and look around me. The airport it twenty minutes away and the bus is already ten minutes late.

"We are going to miss the plane Shia!" I whisper yell into her ear. She looks at me straight in the eyes...again and pokes my forehead. "We aren't going to be late I promise." She says with a smile. I shake my head and cross my arms. "It's the college's fault that we are going to miss the flight. They are eleven minutes late now!" She rolled her eyes and leans her head on my shoulder. "It's fine..." she says tapping her arms around mine.

Did I forget to mention that I was desperately in love with her? Well sorry about that kissing...oops I meant missing piece of information. Well anyways she is leaning on me...

I lean my head on hers and look at the busy cars moving past us. When the bus finally pulls up. The driver steps out and opens the side of the buss for luggage. I tap Shia's shoulder and alert her of the bus. She smiles and picks up her back pack, suitcase, and my hand.

I smile at her warm touch and I grab my stuff as well. We put out suitcases under the bus and go inside. The bus ride was free complement from the school. I move past everyone and I head to the very back, tucked away from everyone. Shia squeezes my hand and takes a seat next to me. She goes back to her earlier position wrapped around me and I sit back closing my eyes. I try to drift asleep but Shia's tight grip prevents me from doing so. So instead I search for a plug to charge my phone. I smile and I pull out my charger from by bag and plug my phone in. It still sits in darkness but after a few minutes it reboots. I unlock it and aren't surprised at the two messages on my phone. A whole month and all I get is this?! I wonder.

I read them and see them from my mom. "Can't wait to see you." And "May has been super good." I sigh and text back "I'm glad, love you!" Next I go to my YouTube account and smile at all the new music and videos. I practically burst out rainbows and sunshine. (Yes I was really happy) I pull out my headphones and start watching.

I start binge watching Liza Koshy and then I end up on the weird side of YouTube. I shake my head and turn on my music, blocking out the loud chatter. I check the time and see we have seven minutes left of our bus ride. I turn my attention to a snoring Shia. I smile and brush her hair out of her face. I wish I could tell her I loved her, but I knew she didn't feel the same. Yeah she held my hand sometimes and leaned on me...but that's just who she was. She was that kind of person.

The bus pulls to a sudden stop and we are all thrown forward. I catch Shia but but my head still hits the seat in front of me. I hold it and find blood on the seat in front of me. I groaned and make sure Shia is alright. She nods and looks around. "Thanks for catching me. Oh my god!!! Your bleeding! She rips part of her shirt off and moves my hand away. She wraps it around my head and hugs me. "I'm going to go see what just happened. Stay here." She stands but soon falls back at the sound of a gunshot.
