The Kid Snatcher •

Chapter 1

I equip my headphones on leaning against the wall humming to the beat,the news channel appears.
'In today's news' the reporter says holding his papers flashing a smile to the screen 'Lisa Frankfort has been missing recently', 'Long brown hair and blue eyes'.

Isn't this the Child Snatcher?Instantaneously  I took off my headphones squinting at the televisions. 'The kidnapper has snatched  Lisa in O'Kelly Street';my eyes darted in my room anxiously. The snatcher could be anywhere right now, normally I did not care about this stuff but if a kidnapper is in your neighbour-hood you're 78% percent chance to be kidnapped this minute.

I let out a long sigh, I better keep my siblings safe then.'Max' my brother Jacob called across the room waving at me 'Yes?' I cooed, My heart started pounding. My subconscious is starting to play with me right now, hands started fidgeting and I grinded my teeth.

'Jacob' I stretch out a smirk 'It's time for bed time', he turns the other way frowning 'No' Jacob continued 'it's only 9:00Pm' Jacob whined. I lay my hand on his head 'Jacob,mom will be here any minute now' I implored patting his shoulder.

My face was covered with worry,I then comfort him by singing him a lullaby 'Jacob please' I insisted 'I'm taking away your Xbox then' I threatened . Jacob gave me a cold glare then suddenly trudging to his bedroom , Was I too harsh on him? I hope not.

Jacob let out a shriek running to me while tears form from his eyes, 'Jacob' I groaned 'What's wrong?'; 'There was a man' Jacob stammered 'It's probably your imagination' I folded my arms 'No it's not' Jacob objected. How can this man go into this house? All the doors are locked and Windows, it's possibly Jacob playing tricks again. I snickered 'Okay you can sleep with me', Jacob wiped his tears hugging me tightly 'Jacob, there is nothing to be afraid of' I gently whispered, 'There are monsters' Jacob wept 'Jacob there are no monsters'I said with anger coated in my face 'You're starting to worry me now Jacob'.

'Go check' Jacob says clutching my arm, I walk to the hallway afraid. I know Jacob could be tricking me but his face was screaming out his not faking, a presence didn't want me here. The atmosphere grew silent 'Jacob' I stuttered 'no one is here', 'he is here with us' Jacob fretted.

A thud noise followed to the kitchen, I was starting to have a panic attack. Jacob hid behind me, scared and shivering. I was the teenager here, I have to deal with this.
