Her view was unclear, like her thoughts, strange and blurry. Hurting and consoling at once.

As she ran she knew that nobody could understand her intentions neither her gone husband nor her mom that passed away. But she knew that she had to run away from her life, her fears and that strange feeling that kept creeping in her dreams and the corner of her head where she kept her secrets. She knew that it was time to leave.

It had been 2 years 8 months and 3 days since her husband had to leave because of the kings' orders and it had been about a year since her mom died. Nothing meant anything to her anymore, not her so-called home, where she woke up every day, nor the people that greeted her at the market where she bought her groceries. Most days she was just sitting in an old wooden chair, her mum had made out of oak, looking out of the round window, staring holes in the sky. Without her daughter she would have run away earlier or worse, she thought. But she had to care for her, nobody else could, because the peoples' thoughts were different from hers and she was afraid to be responsible, unlike everyone else in this world.

She knew that they wouldn't understand it, her.

Everything tore her apart that one morning so she decided to take her daughter and ran away from all this nothingness.

Across beautiful fields of flowers, seas as clear as pure white and gorgeous and vivid cities, there was a young woman seen with a toddler girl in her arms both mesmerizing and terrifying at the same time.

Everyone knew their names, their stories, but no one knew their hearts.

The people of that world felt a sudden change wherever they saw these two because they showed that in this perfect world not everyone was living the perfect life in happiness.

Suddenly, she came to a halt to see that she had reached a forest she had never seen before. Confusion and eagerness crossed her face as she thought about the chance they had been offered.

"So, what do you say, Alison?"

The young woman asked the baby girl in her arms that was clinging on to her staring with big colorful eyes at her. Out of nowhere she slightly shook her head but the woman already looked above Alison, into the deep, dark woods.

She was out of breath standing in the middle of nowhere, in nothing but trees surrounded by the darkness of the night. It was all her fault she thought, they could be at home now waiting for her husband to return after all these years, but she gave up on that thought. Desperate enough to escape that numb life, she was now in a far worse situation, but she didn't want to go home right now.

All this was too much for her and her daughter could feel that starting to sob, but her mother couldn't because she cried enough in her life, she couldn't fight the tears that weren't coming.

But she soothed her little baby girl, took a deep breath closed her eyes and made a final step in front of her.

As she opened her eyes again everything was blurry and Alison was asleep, breathing calmly. It was quiet, too quiet.

She squinted her eyes a few times, finally looking at a path in front of her, that hadn't been there before, she thought.

"Maybe that's our new home, Alison."

She whispered curiously, not taking her gaze off the trail as she walked slowly, recognizing the totally different flora and fauna glowing in the night to guide her.

After quite some time the path became broader surrounded by little strange wooden houses with white bricks on both sides of the path and a railway on it. At the current night time one houses' torches were still lit, so she awkwardly walked towards it, her heart racing, her skin sweating, hoping that the house's owner was friendly and she tried to ignore the loud silence laying on them like an ocean, heavy and stagnating.

Everything felt as if it was a trap.

She was about to knock the wooden door when she thought about her situation. What could she say that could convince anybody to offer her a home or at least food and water?

Hello, I ran away, because of a strange feeling... that was definitely stupid, but it was the truth minus a lot of struggle.

Finally knocking the door without knowing what to say it suddenly swung open, revealing a pair of brown boots, because the woman's eyes were staring on the ground and she finally realized her mistake.

She somehow landed in a different world, lost her mother and probably her husband as well and not only ruined her future but more importantly her daughters as well. But she snapped out of her despair through the person's voice belonging to the boots.

"Iris?"

Her eyes grew wide, a tear rolled down her cheek as she recognized that voice.

She finally looked up into the strangers face. "But how?" she whispered more and more tears making their way down her face as the man pulled them into a hug.

"You must be hungry and exhausted", she could hear him saying, still staring, stiff like a statue, her eyes widely open at him, Alison in his arms. Through just a few seconds, she couldn't see straight anymore, because of her tears blinding her eyesight.
