Smashing of glass

I start running towards the desks so I can cover myself from the destruction. I am on the third from top floor so I won't be the first one to feel the impact. The ground beneath me is going and caving in and I can hear the sound of smashing glass surrounding me. I am too late to make it to the desks. My whole body relaxes and I am falling down.

Shards of glass hit me on my fall. I have one large scrape on my bicep and my shin. I am still falling. My eyes begin to close. I think of everything I should have done in my life;

I should have told my mum I love her, or how to feed Ronald. I should have invited her over to my flat and gave her back the money I owe her. My best friend Cassie should inherit everything I own. I should have gone to my father's funeral and forgiven him for splitting up me and my last boyfriend up. My God, I am 22 and I wish I wrote a will.

Still falling.

I'm still falling to my brick grave. Is this when Batman rescues me before I hit the ground? I take back everything I said about him.

Still falling.

My arms and legs are falling after my body and my hair is too.

Still falling.

I don't know if I ever want to land.

Still falling.

Wayne tower is 52 stories high, really I should fall quicker, but it feels like forever.

Still falling.

Who even put the bomb in the bottom of the tower? Did the joker sneak in past security? Only the bottom floor blew up, and the rest of the building is just crumbling away.

Still falling.

Years are streaming down my face.
