Is she being serious? She just leaves the party without saying anything and now she wants to talk to me? I'm mad at her but also very curious. And actually quite happy that I'm able to see her, to hear her voice again. After thinking about what what she's going to say to me, I fall asleep.

The next morning I'm already awake at 8pm. It's weekend and I'm awake this early? This is unusual. My heart is pounding like crazy. God, what is she doing to me? I get out of bed and take a shower. I'm thinking about everything that happened last night. Katie who drank too much, the moment I saw Ellie, the electricity I felt when she took my wrist, the moment she said her name.. and the moment she dissapeared. When I come out of the shower, I hear that someone closes the door. Shit, that was probably Katie. I forgot her again. Damn you Ellie, distracting me from everything in my life. *beep beep* A text message from Katie. 'Idk what happened to you last night but you're the worst friend I ever had. Thank you for not taking care of me when I needed you the most.' Well, that's nice. I carried her home and let her stay in my house and she says I'm a bad friend? I actually don't really care, I'm only thinking about Ellie. What time is it actually? 9.15pm. Okay 45minutes to go until I see her. Time to choose an outfit. I go for my t-shirt with anchors, black trousers and my Dr. Martens. I laugh with the fact that we have the same shoes.

Okay time to go. I take my bike and drive to the library. It's 9.55am and I don't see Ellie. I decide to sit on the little grassfield in front of the library. After waiting for 10 minutes, she finally arrives. It looks like she cried.

'Are you okay?' I asked.

'Yes haha, a fly flew into my eye.'

'Right, okay. Why did you wanna see me? And why did you suddenly left last night?'

'One question at the time, it's very complicated.' she responses.

'Okay, take your time.'  She takes a deep breath before she says something.

'I don't know who I am, Lily.'

'What do you mean, you don't know who you are? Your name is Ellie.'

'Yes, that's the only thing I know because it was written on a paper that someone put in my bag together with a one way ticket to this town and some clothes.'

'Wow, what ? You mean you don't live anywhere? You don't have money or food?'

'I do live somewhere. The person who wrote my name on the paper also wrote down an address where I had to go when I arrived here and there was a key in it. So I went over to the address and unlocked the door. It's a very nice place with.. '

'Why are you telling me this?' I interrupted her because I was so confused. 'You have to go to the police! They took away your identity, Ellie.'

'I can't do that.' she says with tears in her eyes. 'I can't go to the police, they will think I'm crazy or something.'

'Don't you know anything? Like where you lived before?'

'I do have nightmares with the same images over and over again of me running trough a forest while every bone of my body aches. I always see this cabin and run towards it, but whenever I open the door, I wake up.'

'I think your dream has something to do with your subconscious.'

'My what?'

'It means that even when you lost your memory, that you are still able to see things from your past.'

'So you think that scene really happened to me?'

'I'm quite sure of it.'

'Look at you, smartypants.' She giggles. My heart stops for a second.

'Haha, thanks.' I feel that my cheeks are turning red. 'Ellie, can I ask you something?'

'Yes, ofcourse.'

'Why were you at the party? And why did you start talking to me when you didn't knew who I was? '

'When I arrived here with the train, I saw this poster hanging on a wall and I just thought it would be nice to go to a party, to forget everything for a while. And why I started talking to you? I saw you stumbling in the toilet area with your friend and you made me laugh. And that was the first time since I arrived here that I laughed.' She smiled. 'You just had something, I don't know how to say it. I had this feeling that I could trust you. But I was also scared.Scared to have the first contact with someone else beside the conductor at the train. That's why I was being so weird when you started talking to me.'

'That explains a lot haha.'

'I'm sorry..' she said, while looking inside my eyes.

'N.. No problem.' I said, trying to breath when she was staring at me with the most goddamn eyes I had ever seen in my entire existence. I didn't look away neither did she.

For two minutes, we sat like that. I felt that my heart was almost beating out of my chest. No Lily, don't fall in love. She has issues that you need to solve, she trusts you. Don't let your feelings ruin this quite special friendship.

'My turn to ask you a question.' she said.

'Shoot!'

'Do you.. erm.. do you like boys or girls?'

I didn't expect that question at all. 'Girls' I responded. 'Why?'

'I think I just figured something out.'

'What?'

'That that's the second thing we have in common beside our amazingly good taste in shoes.' she smirked.

Dear Lord. What the heck just happened? Was this a sign or something? Why did she asked that question? Did she suddenly realised that she is gay because we were looking inside each others eyes? I don't know what's happening, no I do know what's happening and it shouldn't happen:

I'm falling in love with the most mysterious person I've ever met.
