Through the sinner's eyes,
she's done nothing wrong.
Those eyes sting from tears,
she's been holding back for far too long.
He tells her, "I just can't accept you."
She says, "I'd change for you if I could!"
She didn't mean to be this way,
she just wishes he understood.
It doesn't seem to be enough,
that she'd love a God just for him.
In his eyes she's foolish, arrogant,
and surely filled with sin.
She doesn't want to do it anymore!
She's pleading to see the light!
She doesn't know why this happened to her,
why someone else couldn't take on this fight.
All she knows is she can't change herself,
into the girl he wants her to be.
She's tried so many times before,
but all she wants him to see,
is why she has to put on a brave face,
and turn a blind eye to the pain.
To see how his conditional love,
has given her so much strength to gain.
This is who he's made of her,
she's slowly turning to stone.
All the stereotypical attitudes of her kind,
slowly molding into her own.
