A little 6 year old boy sat in his bed. He held on to his bed covers tightly, crying in the dark. His closet door was left open and  his monster in his closet was making fun of him. Telling him his friends were only pretending to care for him, that his parents hate him, he would never find his true love.

This kept happening for 2 months, but one night, when the taunting began. He heard a voice "What do you know about his life? Are you there to watch him? To see him succeed in his plays? To see him comfort his friends when they're sad? To see his parents over care for him when he gets a little paper cut?" The voice was his, but he wasn't speaking them directly.

He saw a 6 year old that looked like him, but he had a prince costume on and a sword pointed at the monster. "Well, I, um..." The monster stuttered. The other 6 year old ran at the monster and stabbed it with his sword.  "That's what I thought!" Said the princely child.

The monster exploded into light and disappeared. "Who are you?" Asked the child, still cuddled up in his blankets. "Well I'm your creativity, Thomas!" Cheered the princely child. Thomas sat there, confused. "But how are you... Here and not inside my head?" Thomas questioned. Prince Thomas stood there confused on how he was able to get out of Thomas and stop that monster.

"I... Came out to protect you from that meanie!" He made up. "And he won't come back! I'll make sure of that!" He added. Thomas thanked him and went to sleep. Prince went back into Thomas' head to ponder how he left there in the first place.

It should have been impossible for him to leave. Maybe it was a one time thing? That has to be it.
