A few weeks have pasted from the incident. Roman was still filled with guilt for what he had done. The worst part is that when ever Roman would be in the same room as Virgil, there was silence. Virgil wasn't speaking to anyone. It was as though Virgil had sold his voice to a villain. During theses silent days, Patton was always trying to help Virgil.

You see, when Virgil hit his head on the counter, he hasn't been able to walk straight without hitting his shoulder or running into something. When he stands, his legs would shake. When he reach for something, he would be off by a little. Patton would always be getting things for him. Like a father would. Roman could only watch because he was afraid if he tried to do something for Anxiety, he would be scared of the princely figure.

Virgil knew he had to speak at some point, but he wasn't going to around Roman. Ever since the prince's outburst, he became kind of frightened of him. He never seen his polar opposite get so angry, and Virgil knew that he had provoked him.

Virg was sitting in the "living room" part of the mind palace, his hood up to cover his face. He touched the bandages that covered his cheek. The cut wasn't that deep, but it still stung. Every time he touched the bandaged cut, tears would build up like someone just hit the G note. The dark side felt the couch be weighed down a little. He glared over to the weight on the end of the couch. That weight was Roman.

Roman felt the opposite's glare on him, so he looked over. They made eye contact and it got real awkward.

(Roman's thoughts are italics, Virgil's thoughts are bold)

What should I do? Should I say something or should I leave?

What is he going to do? Maybe I should just get up and leave.

Roman was about to speak when Virgil got up and was going to try to walk to his room. His legs began to wobble again. Prince got up, "Do you want me to help you?" Virgil shook his head no. He took a step and almost fell if it wasn't for Roman quick action. He had caught Virgil hugging him from behind. "I know you don't want my help, but I'm not going to let you go upstairs alone." Roman said. Prince could tell that Virg wanted to get to his room just by looking at his face.

Push him away, he's only trying to keep his prince imagine.

A voice echoed through Anxiety's head. The voice did have a point, but if he ever wanted to get to his room, he would need help up the stairs. Virgil sighed and nodded. Roman then picked up Virgil bridal style, which made Virgil squeak. Virgil was much lighter than he had expected. It was like carrying a kitten.

The Disney lover made his way to the stairs, and carefully walked up there. He made sure not to run up these stairs too fast because he knew that Virgil would most definitely get a headache because of his little concussion. Going as fast as a snail made Virgil tired.

Don't fall asleep, don't let him think that you feel safe with him. He'll manipulate you.

I don't care. If I'm warm and it's quiet, I sleep.

Virgil closed his eyes and moved around slightly to get comfortable. Roman chuckle softly at the darker one's action. To be honest, Roman was surprised that Virgil was alright with him carrying him, even after hurting him so badly. Maybe this was Virgil's way of forgiving him? No, most likely not, but if it is, Roman was still going to apologize for his actions. They reached the top of the stairs and Roman made his way to Virgil's door. But there was now a new problem. How was he going to open the gosh dang door?
