Vampire Trap

Prologue

Long ago when the humans thought the gods were at war. The battles in the sky seemed never ending. It could only be explained by their naïve minds as heaven and hell in a battle over man kind. This was partly true. The humans may not know truly what was happening but they were right to think it was our creators.
Up in the sky, further than the eye could see. Before they had instruments that could magnify sight into space itself. There was a battle. A battle between the creators of humans and the creators of vampires.
  The creators of humans wanted earth for them. Their precious creations, they felt they perfected. We were all created in the lab of what humans would now think of as aliens. They wanted to create humans for earth. The ones who created the humans in their lab grew a strong emotional connection to their creation. After putting their creation on earth to watch it unfold over time, to see what would become of them, Earth was discovered by a new extraterrestrial.
  The new aliens went to Earth. They began to abduct humans to examine them. They were fascinated and wanted to make a replica of the humans and better them. They wanted to know all about the beautiful beings and how they could improve them. The old creators didn't like this. Thus, began the battle over man kind.
In the new experiments of the abducted, the new aliens wanted to create much faster and stronger beings. They experimented with the human's DNA in their highly advanced labs. Much more advanced than what you could possibly know right now. These creators succeeded in their experiments with one problem.
There was an error making the new and improved beings. The new beings couldn't create their own red blood cells. This is the reason for needing to steal it from humans. Their bodies did not generate the specific hormone released from your kidneys to tell your bone marrow to create more. What their bodies can do is remarkable.
Like an ant, the new beings have the strength to lift 10, 100, and even 1000 times their weight with advanced muscle improvement. They can run faster than the eye can see. Like the immortal jellyfish, they age only to age backwards when they finally get too old. Their bodies produce a venom so when they feed, their victims will not be harmed or remember such a horrific event. The venom can paralyze and numb while sending you into a deep sleep. Also healing your wound before you wake and remember nothing of what happened. This venom is also what heals their bodies making it almost impossible for them to die.
  During the war of the creators of humans and creators of vampires, a planet was destroyed. The planet you now know as the asteroid belt. It would have been located between Mars and Jupiter. This planet inhabited the aliens, the creators, the Gods if you will. The ones who created the humans. The destruction of the planet forced the creators to have to find a new home, yet still observing their creation from afar.
  The new aliens, might have managed to destroy the planet and release some of their altered beings on Earth, but they did not win the battle. The little numbers they had left were forced back to where they came from and may be visiting discretely to this day, avoiding the human's Gods. Thus, forcing the altered beings, or vampires, to live in hiding for fear of the human's creators.
The vampires have been seen by humans over the centuries which is what created their stories of what they believe vampires to be. They even gave vampires their name. Although only fiction to humans and the latest trend, vampires are much more than sparkly creatures. They are more than a love story.
Vampires like to keep their numbers low for fear of overpopulation. Vampires could not survive without humans and overpopulation could cause a decrease in food supply. Humans think they are at the top of the food chain but now you know otherwise. Like humans, vampires do have the few bad eggs in their species.
The bad vampires make it hard for their creators and vampires among them. These vampires are the reason vampire slayers exist. The slayers have their own secret society run by the leaders of the world. Hidden from the normal day to day person, the slayers are all around watching. The humans creators know this and let the humans handle this themselves, of course always watching, listening, and helping when needed. They want to know the new beings are no match for their original creation. Although vampires are physically better, the Gods put trust in their creation of the brain and for humans to evolve technologically and defeat this mistake they allowed to happen so long ago.
