Chpt 1||Meet the Skylar kids

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

'Is it morning already.' Thomas slammed his fist onto the alarm next to his face. First day of a new school and he was not prepared. Groaning internally, the young adult stood from the comfort of his bed and waltzed into his bathroom.

Thomas looked into the mirror to see the familiar reflection. A black haired, 17 year old with stupid excuse for a haircut and a very new set of piercings. A black lip ring and black gauges in both ears. Small of course, he was scared of them falling out if they were to big.

Still half asleep, Thomas turned on the shower to wake himself up. Afterwards he got dressed and went out into the kitchen to see a 15 year old, brunette girl in a purple exercise jacket, denim jeans and high tops making toast and coffee.

"Ashley, I said I was gonna make breakfast." The adolescent turned to her brother with a smirk on her face." I know, that's why I'm making it." Sass very predominant in her voice. Ashley turned back to the coffee machine as Thomas stared at the back of his sisters new pixie cut. As the young girl fiddled with the piercing in the middle of her bottom lip her brother ask out of the blue,

"Soo, you gonna get a boyfriend this year?" Ashley turned to Thomas with to coffees and replied,"I dunno, are you?" While handing him one of the warm mugs." Maybe I will, of course you have it easier. You have more choices."

Thomas followed his sister, grabbing a piece of toast from her plate and eating it." I'm bi, how does that give me more choices?" Ashley glared her brother as he munched on her toast.

"Cause I'm gay."

"Good point!"

They both had breakfast in silence, gathered their things for school and head out. The thing they found coolest about Platinum City Junior Academy was it had DORMS! ON CAMPUS! So you didn't have to go far to get to school, or anywhere. The school was big to so it had a lot of students, at least 1000.

The two walked through their dorm walls having quiet conversations as to not wake anyone still asleep. They both liked to get to class early so that they wouldn't have to panic at 8am just so they weren't late.They sat down in the cafeteria, waiting for the first bell to go.  Thomas reading a book and Ashley listening to some punk band.

'What was it called again?..uh-Twenty three plates? I dunno, kids are weird."

As Thomas was halfway through a chapter, he started feeling drowsy. He rested his eyes for a bit and when he went to open them...

The bell went for first class and Thomas didn't get up. Ashley couldn't hear him snoring, all she could hear was...

When the cafeteria doors slammed closed from Ashley exiting, Thomas jolted up.

"NO MORE PENGUINS!!" Thomas screamed, looking around to see no one around. Half of him was releaved no one saw him scream that. But the other half looked to the clock on the far wall
