Its been a month since hell has broke lose. I've stayed with Sky and Angie, despite them being a couple of wimps they could come in handy, when they wanted to be. Other wise one of them would constantly almost die. Regardless of what happened we've tried to get what we could. We haven't left the university grounds, that's where we were when it happened. But, the one thing we needed right now is food and water.
"Hey idiots," I called out to them. Angie was in the corner mumbling something about how she wanted to see her family and Skyla was scribbling on the walls of what we needed, or well trying to with a rock. "We're runnin' low on supplies we needa go look for food and water." I stated. Sky scrambling to get her things but, not before almost braking her damn nose on the fucking floor. I sighed watching pinching the bridge of my nose, while Angelah took her sweet time crawling to her crow bar. I felt my eye twitch a bit, we really didn't have time for this. "I'd like to go to go today thanks." I said trying not to scream at the two of them. I mumbled curses under my breath as I tapped my foot waiting for them to hurry.
Soon enough the two had finally gotten their asses in gear and we were heading off campus. "So...w-where are we going..?" Sky asked mumbling in a soft voice I glared over at her. "okay never mind.." She said quickly shutting up.
Angie tailed behind me holding onto my arm. "Where are we going??" She repeated Sky's question.
"Good god do you two ever shut up" I say looking between the two of them. "We're just going to the closest store I still have the key to the back door from when I worked there so we have easy access." I stated bluntly looking around to make sure that they were both near me and that their were no zombies around.
We walked in silence for the rest of the way, the only sound that can be heard is the soft echo of pebbles and dirt being crushed underneath our feet as we continued to the store, well that was until Angie 'accidentally' dropped her crow bar letting the metal hit the pavement the sharp noise echoing through the street "dumb ass!" I yelled at her raising my fist and using all the will power I could manage to not hit her. I grabbed their hands dashing to the door.
"I'm sorry! It was an accident!" She said panicked flinching a bit when I almost hit her. She quickly grabbed her weapon before following me and Sky.
I pulled the handle. "Yes. Hell yes. Hell fucking yes." I said pulling out the keys unlocking the front door. "Great, fantastic. If the door was locked then the back should also be locked and have some supplies." I stated with a small smirk on my mouth. we passed through the empty isles making our way to the back room. Angie looked at her hands every now and then making sure that she would drop it again. Sky looked on the empty shelves, the false hope shattered bit by bit as she realized the front of the store was completely empty.
"Max..I cant find any food.. or water.. or anything!" Sky said I can hear her voice cracking.
I watched Angie panic running over to her trying to comfort the now crying female. "It's okay! We can look somewhere else! Max's smart! She probably knows more places!" Angie said trying to convince us to leave.
"Morons. We didn't come here for the candy and soda." I said continuing to the back opening the door to the room, there wasn't much at all, just some water and non perishable food items, but it was enough to get the other girls hopes up. "Alright get what you can carry and lets get outta here." I said stuffing all the food i could and some water, the other girls did the same. we were proudly walking out to the front.
"Hey on the bright side," Angie started, "No zombies heard my cro-" her words trailed off as her eyes laid on the glass door and windows starring at the wall of dead bodies throwing and lunging them selves to brake through the barrier protecting us.
