"Get up" promise says, shaking me.
"There is no school today it's Saturday! please leave me alone",i said irritated.
"Hey!it's 12:40 in the evening and you have to help me clean up this place, I'm not going to repeat myself you need to get up and I give you a minute to come downstairs"she said going downstairs.
Eish! This woman though,if you wondering who promise is,she is my stepmother and we don't really get along together.i can't afford to call her my mom and I hope she could just stop acting like one.
I woke up and went straight downstairs.within 20 minutes I was done with all the housework,it wasn't that much I just don't understand why wouldn't she do that by herself.i guess she just wanted my attention.
This weekend went fast and it was very boring I was home alone,my dad and her girlfriend went to some wedding together.the was nothing interesting to do at the house apart from working on my project and watching TV of course.
I was scanning through my Mom's old pictures and smiling to myself.i really miss her a lot,she died from a car accident when I was 13 in my 7th grade. just when I'm about to sleep my phone rang it's it's a call from my dad and I decided to ignore it because I mean what kind of parents would leave someone in a house without Food or money,i know I'm not a child but I'm still a student where do they expect me to get money and feed myself I'm sure they don't care.i know my dad wouldn't do something like that and has never done it until he met up with promise,usually when he went away on business or anywhere he would make sure that I have enough things until he comes back or call to check if I'm okay.(I just kept thinking and tears flowing down my cheeks.)
Too bad he doesn't do any of those things anymore because of his controlling and selfish girlfriend and his too blind to see that I tried to show him but it didn't work.
I hate this woman... I hate(i couldn't stop tears from flowing), I sat on my bed for a while trying to calm down and wiping my tears on my face down to my neck and heard my phone ringing again, but this time I decided to answer it.
"Hey dad"i answered,trying to sound like I'm okay and I couldn't.
"Hello honey,are you OK?" he answered with a concerned voice.
"Yes I'm okay dad I'm just sleepy I had a long day"i replied
"OK that's good then, I just wanted to let you know that we won't be coming home today will be at home by tomorrow evening."he replied
"no problem see you tomorrow then"
"bye" that all he managed to say.
"Love you"i replied trying to catch his attention, but he didn't reply cos promise was there.
I sighed, dropping my phone on the bed and making my way to the bathroom. I decided to take a shower it was so hot during the day.after a 30 minutes shower, I went straight to bed I don't want to be late for school tomorrow.
