Y/N L/N was only five years old when they were left alone, their parents murdered, and their sister kidnapped, never to be seen again. Luckily for them, their parents had some close friends who happily adopted them. They may have only been five but they swore they wouldn't let their new family disappear as easily as their last one did. They couldn't loose anyone else.

Even at the age of 25 they still have nightmares about that night. The screams of their mother. The images of their father trying to ward off the intruder, only to be met with his fate. The fear in their older sister's eyes as she was kidnapped. They remembered that night very vividly. But where was Y/N during all of this? In the closet, they were there even before the killer was in their house. They were lucky they weren't found. But because they survived, they developed bad survivor's guilt.

Their brother would always be there when they awoke from their nightmares. That is until he moved to Detroit to be coached for figure skating. They video chatted almost every other day. The two were very close, some would say inseparable. They didn't want to lose him or any other members of their family. There was one family member they weren't very close with and that was Mari. You might be wondering why. It wasn't because they didn't like her, it was simply that they never really got close to each other, Mari was always a little distant from Y/N.

Y/N is an artist, they make their money off that. They sell their paintings and do commissions online. Many always say that they're very good. It's not the most stable job, but that's also why they work at Yutopia Akatsuki. When they're not drawing, painting, or working, they're skating. Not exactly figure skating but the basics that almost everybody knows. It helped calm their nerves, just to glide across the ice.

They then get news that their brother is coming back from Detroit. Their mom asks if they can pick him up from the station. Of course they say yes, as they're beyond excited.

This is where our story starts.
