The four of us stick together throughout the day. Our day is pretty average and we talk to as many classmates as possible. No blue yet. I'm so exited based on what my mom and dad told me about what it's like to see every colour. But since mom died, dad doesn't see green anymore. It came back and I can tell he misses seeing green, but he won't say anything. We're now heading to the café next door for lunch. I love the hot chocolate here. The boys ordered coffees and Noelle ordered a latte, while we were in line the girl ahead of me got her hot chocolate than sighed. I was confused because if anything she should be happy "What's wrong?" I asked. She gave me a weak smile and said "I wish I could see this colour." And I smiled empathetically knowing exactly how she feels. She introduced herself and told us that her name was Nikki. She had long red hair and green eyes like me. I could tell we were going to be good friends. After we all got our drinks we got a really big poutine to share. When our lunch was over we headed to class. Nothing else really happened the rest of the day. I basically spaced out. Next thing I know, I'm in the car with dad and Fin on our way home from school. Fin us already telling dad about his teachers and his opinion on them already, then he turns around to me and asks how my day was. "Good. I made some friends who I have all the same classes with" I say with a big smile. He smiles because I used to never make friends easily because of my anxiety, it made him really happy when I told him how easy it was. "What're they're names?" He asks. "Ok, let's see. There's Noelle, who's locker is right beside mine, and there's Jamie and Nick." I look at my dad and he seems really impressed by how many. I give him a really wide smile and look out the window. After about thirty seconds I look at him in the mirror and say "oh! And there's Nikki" and he smiled, Fin then started telling dad about what his friends did over the summer. I find it kinda cool that he still has the same friends from last year, I hope I have that with my friends. Next thing I know, we're home.
