she was nice.

i remember that.
before i fell off that rooftop,
a cigarette burning into my skin,
and a gunshot in my shirt.

i remember her tears.
her cries
her screams
and her saying three words.

"i'm so sorry."

i had finally found out why her parents said
"Be careful around her."

she had just switched.

switch.

haven't heard that in a while.

then i remembered.

"hey can i tell you something?
something you can't judge me on, something i can't control.
can i tell you it?"

i nodded.

"i can switch.
as in turn into someone else and completely dissappear from who i was.
as in, I'll be gone.
and someone else will take my place."

i showed no emotion but i could tell,

she was so afraid of when that switch would happen.

she was so scared.

almost completely filled with fear.

that it scared me too
