Scott, Kylie, and Isaac were in the hospital parking lot, attempting to sneak Jackson's body bag out without attracting any attention from the doctors or security guards. The boys moved carefully along the walls and through the bushes, with Kylie trailing close behind, clinging tightly to Isaac's shirt.

They tiptoed their way through the parked cars, Scott's nerves clearly getting the better of him. He suddenly dropped the bag with a loud thud.

"Sorry," Scott muttered, his voice filled with tension as he quickly scrambled to pick it back up.

Before they could continue, a minivan pulled into the parking lot, its headlights shining directly on them. The vehicle stopped right in their path. Scott and Isaac froze, and Scott immediately moved Kylie behind him, shielding her.

The driver's door swung open, and Chris Argent stepped out, his face unreadable. Isaac instinctively extended his claws, but Scott held out a hand, motioning for Isaac to stay calm.

"You're alone," Scott said cautiously, his eyes narrowing slightly.

Chris nodded, his expression tense. "More than you know."

Scott frowned, still wary. "What do you want?"

Chris let out a long, strained breath, his shoulders sagging slightly. "We don't have much in common, Scott. But at the moment, we have a common enemy."

Scott's hand moved protectively over the body bag. "That's why I'm trying to get him out of here."

Chris shook his head. "I wasn't talking about Jackson."

Scott's frown deepened as Chris's words sank in.

"Gerard has twisted his way into Allison's head, just like he did with Kate," Chris admitted, his voice heavy with emotion. "And I'm losing her. I know you're losing her too."

Scott swallowed hard, his jaw tightening. "You're right," he said after a moment, his voice filled with determination. "So can you trust me to fix this?"

Chris stared at him for a long second, the silence stretching between them. Finally, he nodded, but his expression remained grave. "I trust you, Scott."

Scott exhaled a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding. "Then let us go."

Chris hesitated, glancing back toward his car. "No," he said, shaking his head. After a moment, he added, "My car is faster."

The minivan pulled up in front of the warehouse, and Scott, Isaac, Kylie, and Chris stepped out. Chris eyed the space ahead, scanning for any threats.

"Where's Derek?" he asked.

Scott focused, his ears picking up the sound of movement. He turned just as Derek came into view, running on all fours toward them. With a final leap, Derek landed in front of them, rising to his feet, his eyes flashing red. Kylie giggled and clapped her hands, clearly delighted. Hidden nearby, Peter rolled his eyes.
