Chapter 8

Kai's POV:

I woke up earlier than Hyoyeon to make her breakfast. Thinking of what happened last night just made me sad.

She thinks I think of her as a toy. I fell in love with this girl. I was done with making the food and I smiled, satisfied.

I walked the food upstairs and she was still sleeping. I sighed as I set the tray on the little table and walked towards her.

I gently woke her up, "Hyoyeon-ah, wake up." I said and she groaned. She opened her eyes and they were puffy.

"Here, let me feed you." I said as I brought the tray over and she just smiled.

"It's fine, Jongin-ah. Let me do it." She said as she took the tray and started eating. I smiled as I looked at her. I went into the bed with her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Jongin, I'm sorry for last night." She said as she finished her yogurt. I sighed and pulled her closer to me.

"No, I'm sorry for making you feel that way." I said and she looked at me. I couldn't help but lean in and kiss her. This was an innocent, sweet, meaningful kiss.

"Always remember, you mean everything to me." I said as the kiss broke. She smiled and nodded.

She looked at food and took a piece of bacon. "Here." I said and I ate it. She giggled and gave me some of her juice.

We ate together and when we were done, she laid down and sighed. "I'm so full! Thank you, Jongin." She said and I pecked her forehead.

Then, we got up and got ready for school. As I was brushing my teeth, she gasped at something. I looked at her and she covered her eyes.

"Is this how ugly I looked?!" She yelled and I chuckled. I finished brushing my teeth and went up to her.

"You're beautiful no matter what, Hyoyeon." I said and she looked at me. She started whining.

"I can't go to school looking like trash! People are going to make fun of me." She whined and I pulled her closer.

"Stop. No. Now, get ready Beautiful." I said and she sighed. She started getting ready and I put the uniform on.

She came out and glared at me. "Fix your shirt. It's not buttoned all the way." She said and I smirked.

"That's how I like it." I said and she came to me. She fixed it and she widened her eyes at something.

"What's wrong?" I asked and she caressed over the hickey she made. I smirked and she looked at me again.

"I did that... oh my gosh, I did that." She said and I nodded. She looked so guilty.

"Hey, it's fine. No big deal." I said and she looked at me as she pouts.

"Want me to cover it with makeup?" She asked and I shook my head.

"I want everyone to know that I belong to someone." I said and she blushed as she looked down.

Then, she looked up and pecked my lips before entering the closet. I chuckled and went to the door. "Hyoyeon, I'll be waiting in the car for you." I said and she hummed in response.

I took my backpack as I took hers as well. I also brought my phone along. Then, I went to the car and started it.

I was waiting when she came and was freaking out. "My backpack! I can't find it!" She said and I pointed at the backseat.

She looked and glared at me. Then, she got in and I drove. "My eyes.." She said as she looked at herself in the mirror.

When I reached the school, I parked my car by Chanyeol's car. I took my backpack and started searching for the mask.
