Tracy's POV
Day 5 B.F.
Liza and I were lying down on the grass, for lunch, in the courtyard. The marble fountain continued to spray water. All around us flowers bloomed. I've always been in love with roses, they had a deviousness about them: touch, but you'll pay a price.
Jason and Henry were playing a football game at the far end of the courtyard so that they wouldn't disturb anyone. Anthony? He was throwing stuff at kids and loitering in the courtyard, continuessly staring at me and I couldn't help but stare back at times. Ignore him. Relax Tracy.
The problem is I couldn't relax, last night another nightmare invaded my mind as the red witch was killing innocent villagers and slicing their flesh into ribbons and strangling them in vine. She'd given them no mercy.
Liza was listening to music when she quickly yanked them off and said "I might be crazy, but I can feel him staring at you."
Even in the three classes we had together, English, history and earth sciences and we were practically locker mates, he would constantly stare at me, but I ignored him.
As I looked over again I'd been caught in his line of sight. Sophie, the cajun girl, would occasionally whisper to him.
"Liza, do you think she's his girlfriend?" I asked still catching glances at them.
Liza began to study them. "If she was, then why would he continue to look at you?"
"Good point..."
Yesterday, when Anthony and Sophie received their laptops, they were astonished and their eyes went wide. I then heard Sophie murmur... "Quelle belle chose" What a pretty thing, today they were deciding whether they should sell it or not. But then I realized how they probably never had a computer at their fingertips, much less their own computers. After the group finished smoking/drinking, they made their way into the school.
Liza's attention was now focused on Henry...
"I thought you said that you were gonna set us up."
I'd often asked Jason, but he always answered...
"Not until she calms down"
Mental note: make another request tonight.
"Ya, I'll ask again tonight."
"you'd better" she said with a menacing look, but I could tell she was about to laugh.
"So what are you gonna do about... you know... Jason's little manly needs."
During my sophmore year, when I'd started dating Jason, I'd promised him that if we were still dating when I turned sixteen that we'd have sex. Now, I had my sixteenth birthday coming up and a more experienced boyfriend. The thing is I'd never felt the passion to experience sex with Jason, I just didn't want to lose him... It has to happen one day.
"I'll...think about it later"
"Fine, I'm gonna go see Henry."
"Have fun, wake me before the bell rings..."
"Whatever"
The smell of the roses beside me calmed me and also reminded me of my gran's garden. I didn't remember much of my grandmother, but ever since I got back from the CCC, I started to think more about her. The last time I'd seen her she said she was bringing me for ice cream, I though it must be the best ice cream because we just kept driving and driving. I'd even remembered her.... breakdown.
My eyes shot open to a powerful scent of roses, when I saw that they were inches from my face, I shrieked. Eyes were looking straight at me, even Liza looked at me with a concerned look...
"There...There was a bee!" Oh god.
I got on my feet in seconds and ran straight to the bathroom, passing people without saying a word. Once in the bathroom, I splashed water in my face. Reject the delusion, stay centered. I thought I was cured! Why the hell are they back!?
Am I going to lose everything?
Maybe... Maybe I'd just been sleeping. Yes! I'd simply dozed off, those stupid pills always made me sleepy. After all, my usual symptoms didn't appear when I used to have delusions. Usually, when I was vision-bound, I would feel a bubbly sensation in my head and nose. Maybe they were... No! don't even go there Tracy.
"What the hell, All of a sudden you're afraid of bees!?" Liza said bursting in.
I shrugged at the question, thinking about how Liza would feel if she knew about all of the crap I had to put up with... I still won't tell her though, now is not the time.
"Are you okay then? At least answer that"
"Ya, I had just fallen asleep and when I woke up there was a bee on my face."
"Oh shit, why didn't you just tell me?"
"It was just a bee, I'm fine now..." I said trailing off because I, now, saw ivy emerging from the window behind her. The bell rang causing the ivy to retreat. If these are real hallucinations, then I'm starting to lose confidence about not going back to the CCC. What if I do have to go back to that hell hole?
Liza walked past me saying, "See you in class".
Why was this happening again?....
