Hey Blueberries!!!!!

I am so so so happy right now. First of all, there is a new cover for Dead Of Winter and I was jumping for joy when I saw it. Sadly, it's coming out on January 5th or 6th of 2015. I'm in such a good mood right now because of it!!!!!!!!

Anyway ENJOY!!!!

I felt myself fall, until an arm wrapped around me and pull me back up. I gaze up, trying to catch my breath and found Anthony staring back down at me. My eyes widened a touch as I saw my claws slowly recede. I was slightly relieved, but still panicked from what just happened.

"What's wrong with you?" His voice sounded kind of harsh.

"Th-the lightning." I stuttered. His face went from serious to a look of disappointment when I told him that.

"You got scared by a little lightning? Damn, I thought you were braver than that Tracy." Those words stung, but the bolts, they were following me. It all seemed so real. I looked up and saw nothing but clear skies.

"Why are you out here alone?" He asked softening his gaze a little.

"I was supposed to meet Liza. What are you doing back here?" I asked in a harsh tone.

"Maybe I came back for that kiss." He said.

"Didn't I already mention that I had a boyfriend?"

"Yes, but it doesn't seem like it to me, he left you out here by yourself ."

"He went to go straighten things out with the police."

"Of course he did." He said between gritted teeth. He started walking towards the direction of his motorcycle and I followed. "You coming?" He said patting the small space behind him, smirking. I rolled my eyes and started walking past him.

"Why are you offering?"

"I just want you on my bike, in that skirt." He smirked.

"Like that'll ever happen. I'd rather walk. Besides, my mother will hear the motorcycle and freak out if she sees me on it."

"Fine have it your way." He said getting off his motorcycle, disengaging the kickstand and bringing it with him.

Fog began to roll in. There was an eerie silence between us and he looked alert. As if he thought something bad was going to happen. He clearly did not want to be here.

"Just leave!" I said sounding irritated.

"And why would I do that?"

"Because I know you want to."

He just ignored me and continued walking.

We were now standing in front of the cane when he started to look uneasy.

"You aren't creeped out by the cane?" He asked.

"No, I love it actually." I said grabbing a leaf, savouring its sweet scent. He grabbed his flask and took a quick swig.

"Weirdo" He smirked.

"Thanks for bringing me this far, you can go now." He looked at me like I was crazy.

"I'm not going to leave you in the middle of the field."

We stopped in front of my house. Anthony let out a low whistle at the sight.

"Wow, didn't know you were that rich. I used to pass by here when I was young. People say this place is haunted, is it?" He asked.

"You've seen it before? Well, I guess, I haven't been paying much attention to that."
