Fire Causes Ashes; (Film Based)

Chapter 10

I could hear the loud and light footsteps of my fellow mutants around the tent getting ready for today, Jac left early this morning, I felt his hand leave mine sifting away.

I woke up and slipped into yesterday's clothes and walked out into the wilderness, everyone was walking around the area and the jet was slighting buzzing, I looked around, the campfire was slowing turning into ashes.

Logan looked pissed as he munched on some rubbish looking food, Jean walked into the jet followed by mystique and magneto, no sign of Jac.

I walked over to the campfire when a slight cough came behind me I flipped around and found him standing there, a bunch of white and yellow flowers in his hand tied with some sticks.
"What's this for?" I laughed at him.
He laughed back and pushed the flowers into his face hiding his smile.
"For um ruining our moment last night" he said flowers still caressing his face,
"Oh it's fine" I said pulling them away to show his bright liquid eyes, "you sure? " He said walking with me to the jet,
"Yeah always" I said standing on tip toes and kissing him lightly.

Everyone was already aboard on the jet, they all had ink black suits on with different coloured 'x's and stripes on the collar. "there you two are" Storm said holding what I guessed to be our suits, "better put these on"

She handed one to Jac and the other to me and pointed us to the toilets, Jac let me go first to get sorted, it was tight in there and I struggled not to hit any body part on the toilet lid.

The catsuit was plain black but the neck panels where a dark rich blue like my skin, I grabbed my hair so It lay on my shoulders and quickly splashed some water on my face, and walked out letting Jac in.

I sat down and buckled my seatbelt as everyone started to get ready to take off, I could hear faint laughing and talking, from the corner of my eye I saw john taking to magneto and the lady leaning in, her eyes meeting mine once in a while making me turn my head.

Jac came out finally came out his suit was brown on the collars, it made me laugh because of his hand.

He smiled and sat down next to me, slipping his hand into mine, his hand was soft and warm unlike my cold ones, "everyone" Storm said flicking on a switch on the table in the middle of the jet, suddenly a base appeared which was our destination, "this is the base we will be going to, trying to find answers"

Storm explained, but we where stuck how where was going to get in with out being noticed.

Everyone was looking around as the jet swooped to a stop, crashing us lightly.
Then at that point everyone's head seemed to turn to mystique her corners of her lips turned up as a smirk appeared.

We had all climbed off and let mystique go 1st, and we split into groups, Logan on his own, magneto following and the rest together, rouge and Bobby had stayed in the jet.

I sighed walking up the snowy hills, kicking snow as I went, storm wanted me upfront and Jac at the back apparently I was a distraction if we ran into trouble.

Great.

We waited outside the entrance of the dul dam and waited for the all clear by Storm. She nodded and we where in.

I stayed close to her, and I could feel Kurt's deep breaths on my arm, "right, Jac and Rista go left" Jac shifted next to me "we will meet here if we find anything or are in trouble" we nodded and turned into the direction she pointed us to.

The corridor was long and dark and I could hear the light dripping on water contacting with earth.
"Right we need to turn-"

Jacs sentence was interrupted but 2 men appearing with guns, "Rista" Jac shouted, I stepped forward concentrating on the men and the smoke came and tackled them to the ground, a sizzle came as it touched the water.

Jac stuffed his glove in his pocket and began running forward his hand contacting with the mans leg, he screaming out in pain, I ran forward and kicked the gun out of his way.

"run! " Jac screamed taking my hand and running away, I got a glimpse of what was following us, men marching behind us, guns pointing at us.

He pulled me left and right, until we clashed into a wall, my head slightly bussing now, but we were trapped, only thing left was a steel door, i pulled Jac into the room and locked it behind me.

I walked backwards, and tripped. my head collied against the floor, "jac?" I asked trying to pull myself back up but the the catsuit was containing me. The room had hardly any lights and the floor from what I could see was covered in papers.

I started searching through them, the ones of the floor,tables and containers, then I came across something.

One of the folders read,
Rista May Maras
14th November 1996.

My swallowed my throat and quickly picked them up, "jac" I whispered, turning around.

"Rista " his voice relied shaking slightly, I noticed his out line and walked close to it taking precautions.
"What's wrong?" I asked tugging on his arm.

"Look."

I turned to see what he was looking at, in a glass container was 2 small bands black which blue LEDs.

But the plaque underneath shocked me.

'Test trail 0245-Maras-3566-Rista.'
'Started 1998-....-'
