May's POV.

Ah prom.

Such a useless occasion.

A event where teenagers go to criticize and belittle each other...where most teens end up crying or losing their virginity.

But for some reason, humans love prom and in fact look forward to it.

It was definitely confusing but I wasn't going to take the time to think about why humans liked something that they will only regret later.

I needed to think of my plans for prom night.

One thing was for sure though....tonight was going to be a night the tabloids will never forget.

💀 🔪

" I can't believe after all that's happened, we're still going to go to Prom." Abbie muttered with a soft sigh but gave the others a small smile.

" I suppose we'll just have to have as much fun as we can tonight before we get snapped back to reality." Abbie continued while laying out the skirt of her two piece dress.

" That's the spirit!" Catherine exclaimed with a smile.

All of the girls were gathered at Abbie's house, getting ready for prom which was in about three hours.

" Abby! Mrs. Klause is at the door for you!" Abbie's mom called from downstairs which startled Abby slightly.

" Klause? As in....dead girl, Sarah Klause?" Ella blinked in surprise.

" Yeah...it's her mom." Abbie murmured before exiting the room.

Jessica and Ella exchanged troubled looks before going back to getting ready.

Abbie walked forward and smiled reassuringly at Mrs. Klause.

" Hi Lori. How...how are you doing?" Abbie asked, trying to force down the bile that was starting to form in her throat.

" I...I'll live....I was just looking through.....her stuff and...I found some things that I thought you might want..." Mrs. Klause said in a soft voice, her expression showed that she was on the verge of tears but she was staying strong.

" Oh, thanks." Abbie said awkwardly, not knowing what else to say.

Mrs. Klause said nothing in return but simply handed Abbie a box and walked away leaving Abbie standing awkwardly in the doorway.

Abbie closed the door with her foot and made her way upstairs before setting the box onto the bed.

" What's that?" Catherine asked, curiously eyeing the box.

" I don't know yet. But Mrs. Klause said it was some things that I'd probably want." Abbie said quietly, while opening the box gingerly.

The first thing that caught Abbie's eye was an old but well taken care of Cinderella doll.

Abbie's eyes filled with tears as she picked up the doll gently.

" Cinderella is dumb." Little Abbie muttered.

" No she's not! She's dances good and is pretty just like you." Little Sarah said, looking slightly offended.

" You think I'm pretty?" Little Abbie asked shyly.

" Yes you're very pretty and that's why Cinderella is your doll, cause she's just like you." Little Sarah smiled handing the doll to Abbie.

" A doll?" Catherine asked which jolted Abbie out of her memories.
