"Hey August! C'mon we're heading out!" Celeste yelled from across the apartment. She had given him an outfit to wear about 10 minutes ago, and she wondered what was taking him so long. She walked down the short hallway, her small white boots clicking against the poorly installed hard wood flooring. She knocked on the closed door to his room, a quiet "come in." Sounded from the other side. She opened up the door only to find August sitting on his horribly made bed, a hand cut crew-neck cropped sweater pulled half way over his head and some unbuckled overalls around his hips. He had one sock on and the other half on. He looked defeated. "What's been taking you so long?" Celeste asks. He was already basically dressed, so what's his deal? He looks up at Celeste and says "I can't find my deodorant.." He seems genuinely sad about this. Celeste stifles a laugh "you can use mine, August. We can pick some more up for you at the store." She reassures him. He mouths a quick 'okay' and slowly reaches down to finish putting on his left sock. He hastily pulls the yellow sweater the rest of the way over his head  and stands up. Celeste walks over to him and pulls up one of the straps of his overalls, buckling it up. "You can leave the other one down. Grab your shoes, you can put them on in the car." She turns to walk out the door and August grabs his shoes, hurrying to catch up to her swinging hips.

The two step into the car, Celeste smoothing down her skirt as she settles into the driver's seat. She looks over at August who is slipping on his shoes, "Make sure you buckle your seat belt." She reminds him before pulling out of the apartment parking lot. August does so and reaches to turn up the heat in the cold car.

Celeste pulls into the Walmart parking lot, opening up her door she gets a blast of cold air from the brisk autumn afternoon breeze. She reaches her hands up to her arms, rubbing the fuzzy sweater material to warm her up. August steps out of the car and seems to turn to ice. He hates cold weather. Together they walk into the store and immediately head to the toiletry section.

"Okay, so you should go pick out a shampoo. I will go get your usual deodorant." Celeste instructs, August nods in response, "Aye-aye cap'n!" He gives a doofy smile and heads off in the other direction. Celeste migrates to the deodorant, grabbing the one August likes best. He says its best because it smells like jamba juice, which Celeste thinks is pretty cute. Just as Celeste grabs the stick, August comes skidding around the corner. "CELESTE! I found a super great shampoo!" He says, brimming with excitement. "Pleaasssee can i get this one?!" Celeste grabs the bottle from his hands, looking at the label. "Strawberry kids shampoo?" She looks up at August to see a smiling mess. "It smells sooo good, like you and dessert. And it says it will make my hair soft like cotton candy." He replies. Celeste's face turn a deep pink, like the color of her sweater, he thinks it smells like her? "Of coarse you can get it, i said you could pick out any one you want." She says casually. As they check out, August is happily bouncing just a little bit. Why is he so excited about something as simple as shampoo?

As Celeste and August climb back into the car and settle in, August turns to Celeste and says "im going to shower right when we get home."
