Deep in the Amazon rainforest there lies a bottomless, murky, dangerous lake that is infested with crocodiles who almost certainly haven't eaten in two and a half years. If you don't believe they could live that long without food just look it up I assure you it's possible.
Right in the very middle of the lake was a rock , more of a large pebble really, decayed with moss growing plentiful over it making it slippy and unsafe but being on a rock in the middle of a crocodile infested lake in the middle of the Amazon jungle is rather unsafe too wouldn't you say? On this treacherous rock was a girl barely thirteen who life it seems is about to end. I know all this because that girl is me. "Help!" I screamed at the top of my lungs "anybody". Of course I knew no one would come I was in the Amazon rainforest after all who was there to hear my desperate plea? I wracked my brain for a plan, any plan, any plan at all would be better then waiting for those strong jaws with rows of jagged, sharp teeth to actually come close enough to take a bite.
I know crocodiles don't usually aim to eat people ,I mean we're not its natural foods source plus there aren't many people to snack on here anyway. But I couldn't take the chance no matter what the jungle book says about what happens if an animal eats a human these big crocs hadn't eaten in two and a half years so I don't think they'd be a real stickler for the rules. But worse then being eaten alive by the crocs is no one would know what I'd found out. No one would know what had happened to me I'd simply vanish off the face of the earth. My mum and dad wouldn't even be able to send out search parties to look for my remains because soon they'd join me up there in paradise as well.
The only other person who would care about my sudden disappearance would be my best friend Sofia, who at the moment thinks I'm at my non-existent grandparents house for the October half-term so she wouldn't realise something was fatally wrong until next week and by then it be way, way to late. Oh why, oh why did I decide to take this mission!
